Lisa H...
Thanks Liz...
My sister went into surgery late, but the surgery only lasted an hour. She is in her room resting comfortably with the help of her morphine drip. She thinks she'll be going home sometime tomorrow.
Dad felt much better this afternoon than he was this morning. I went to see him before I picked Siehara up from school and the surgeon came in. He basically just told him what "could" happen depending on what the results of the biopsy were... turns out his surgeon is Dr. Boorse. I do believe that he did Spanky's WLS. I know my dad is in good hands with him. He did surgery on his pancreas 13 years ago when this all started... even walked to the hospital in a snow storm to be sure dad got taken care of! He does seem to think that it is a "bad mass" and that chemo and radiation are going to be involved to shrink the mass away from his intestines. There is also a good possibility that they are going to have to remove his pancreas.
OY VEY!! When will it all end?!?!?!?!?
