***Monday Roll Call***
Good morning everyone!
Well, i'm sitting here waiting for the exterminator to arrive so i can go to work afterward. Sigh. I hate those "we'll be there between 8 and noon" appointments. Ties up the whole morning.
What an exhausting weekend! Wonderful in many ways, but exhausting... emptied out the pantry closet last night for the exterminator (as though i hadn't already moved ENOUGH food in emptying and restocking the fridge and freezer for that replacement project. Sigh.
So hubby decided to take the layoff package, so we're waiting for the details on when he'll be off payroll. It will be a huge adjustment and he'll obviously need to look for another job, but it will also be good for him in the long run, i think. The commute is awful (1.5 hours each way, daily) and he truly has hated the job for a long time (been there 26 years). The buyout is a good one and locks in his pension and benefits package, which is good since the company is struggling big-time. So we'll see - will be a rocky road for a bit, I'm sure.
So this week is my "getting my house back in order" week - trying to get things back in place after the chaos of the last few weeks. Pantry stuff, retrieving frozen food from the neighbors, finishign the trim painting and getting everything moved back in, icemaker installed. Sigh.
Well - i hope you all have a wonderful week and a great monday.

Pam?!?! A mental Health day? How could you? I don't know from that - but let me tell you about my trips to New York City twice a year when I MUST get a dose rom "Dr. Broadway." LOL! I am glad it was productive and enjoyable! They are soooo necessary! :)
Today is going to be another crazy day! Today started off with my step-dad yelling at me because of something my husband did - then my husband yelled at me because he was at work and I should be able to read his mind...blah, blah, blah! Love to start Monday mornings this way! But hey....The kids were wonderfully well behaved this morning - I guess I need to hold onto the good! :)
After I continue to babysit the 8th graders at school, because, really....who wants to still be here?, I need to go to a specialty Judaica store that is only open til 5, to get a gift from my religious school faculty to take with me tonight to a dinner hosted by my rabbi at her new house FAR FAR AWAY! (Well - past the Main Line - in Radnor, PA - it is a distance from our synagogue.)
I totally forgot ALL of my pills and viatmins this morning - I have never done that! This is what happens when the men in my lief all yell at me at the same time! UGH! I wasn't planning on going home until much later tonight - Now I might have to run home in the opposite direction of everything to get some pills after school! UGH!!!!!! This is not how I wanted to start my last full week of school!
In spite of all this crazy - I hope YOU all have a nice day!

You go, Pam - we all need a MH day once in a while! Does a body and spirit good.
Since I was off on vacation Friday there was no mental health day for me today. We went down to the beach on Friday to spend the weekend with our friends. It was a great weekend but we indulged in way too much wine Friday night and ended up paying for it Saturday!! That is without a doubt the worst hangover I've had in over 2 years - probably because I just don't do alcohol that much anymore. Anyway, in between the rainy weather we did manage to get in their pool a few times and went out for crabs Saturday night - YUM!!
So today I'm at work - going to Curves after work then home to finish putting laundry away - hoping to get a ride in on my bike tonight - went for a short one last night and had planned a longer one for later but then the neighbors came out and we started chatting - by the time we went in it was too dark for me to go anywhere. But I was tired anyway, so hopefully tonight I'll get back out there.
I am off tomorrow again - taking my mom to the oncologist to see what the results of her biopsy were and where we're headed from here. I may need a mental health day after that...

Good Morning Pam and All, Today has me at work, teaching. I missed a colleague's baby shower yesterday because I ate something that did not sit well...and was feeling pretty cruddy all morning and not sure if it was food or a bug, so I was cautious and stayed home. Today has me giving a Final Exam, then home to tidy the mess I made yesterday. Than to group. Nothing exciting. I do have some impatiens to plant, if I have time. I bought a cute pot to put them in. I also got some other bargains in WalMart's clearance aisle. Hugs,
Trish
