Lisa,
Thank you very much. Your thoughts of concern and support have been very helpful to me these past few days.

Chris- so sorry to hear about your dog :(
dogs are definitely like family members and for this to have happened so suddenly, and right in front of you, must have been very traumatic to say the least.
My dog was put to sleep almost 10 years ago and I still have dreams about him and miss him deeply.

My thoughts and prayers and with you and your doggies.

Kathleen, I too have many memories of all the pets I have ever had, and the missing is forever for me too. The suddeness of April's death was quite a shock, but at least I do know her death was quick and realitively painless. Thanks for your support.

I'm so sorry about your dog. We have an older boxer, Holly, that we got from the boxer rescue and she is amazing. You will miss April, but try to remember the joy she brought to you, her wiggles, and "graceful" manners when she ate. I hope that those memories can bring a smile.

April was the 4th boxer to be a part of my life, and I'm sure she won't be the last. My first boxer was named Holly too. Every one of my dogs had the boxer wiggle, and was stuck to my side and always in the way in the kitchen :) All those memories do bring a smile. Thanks for sharing.

I am so very sorry for your loss. We just lost our Terrier girl in May. She was only six. Just know that you have friends and family keeping you in our prayers and our thoughts are with you. Hang in there you will always miss her but it does get easier to bear.

Thank you for the kind thoughts and prayers. I hope that time is softening the pain of your recent loss, we all cherish our pets don't we?

Oh Chris, I'm so sorry.  Biggest hugs to you, and to your poodle, too.  Such a difficult time - pets truly are a special part of our lives.

Let us know if you need anything else!

Pam,
Thank you for your support, Friday at work was tough, but I got alot of hugs and support amidst the tears. Today I'm much more used to the idea that April is gone, It was very hard to process that on friday and Saturday. My mind just kept replaying the tape/memory of her last moments.
I'm at peace about her death today.

...Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you...
I loved you so-`twas Heaven here with you.
