****Wild Wednesday Roll Call****
Morning Trish - have a safe and fun trip.
Visited mom last night - they moved her to a step-down ICU room. She has a blood clot in her right lung (the good one) and pnemonia. Fortunatey no damage to her heart from the other night. Her spirits were better and she's eating. Broached the subject of pallliative hospice for her when she comes home and she was very receptive to it, so that was a good thing. My sister is coming up from Florida and will be here Friday sometime, so that'll be a little relief for me.
This morning I got up early and got dinner in the crockpot, cooked some chicken for the dog, made myself a homemade burrito (so I can get away from the Micky D's ones), emptied the dishwasher and watered my plants. Of course my husband wanted to know if I was going to exercise too - yeah, he was close to Dead Man Walking after that comment!!
We had to run my car back to the service station last night - they replaced the rotors last week and last night there was an awful noise coming from the left front - don't know if they didn't tighten something or what but that was just one more thing I really didn't need this week, so tonight I'll drop hubby and dog off to pick up my car and I'll head over to the hospital.
That's my day in a nutshell...busy but productive so far.

Good Morning Trish and everyone! Trish - have a wonderful and safe trip to meet your beautiful grandson and to, undoubtedly, spoil that munchkin!
Today has me heading off on another adventure without kids and hubby - Headed down to Maryland and Delaware beaches with some girlfriends for a few days. Hubby and I went to the movies last night - it is still amazing to me that I can walk to the theatre without any problems and then to actually sit in the seats with room to spare.....I still want the popcorn, but the thought of fitting in the seats is way more exciting! :) Oh I never mentioned the cake from my nephews party the other night - Although it was tempting, I walked away and my hubby came with me to thank me for helping him do the right thing also. (Not eating the cake!) Realize that my husband is 6 feet tall and about 175 pounds. He cracks me up - but if he wants to eat right, I am all for that! :)
That is all for me today - not sure what the trip will hold, except that I am the designated driver for the few days and am actually thrilled that I can do this for my friends. I have really not been missing drinking too much.
Hey - when can I start chewing gum again? Any ideas?

Today has me at work till 4pm. Hoping to get a call from the shop that the Harley is done and ready to pick up. If so we'll run up there before Gene has to go to work.
Heating up leftovers for dinner. Gene will be out late this evening seeing clients, so it will be me and the cat tonight.
I'm still exhausted from being out late over the weekend and getting myself back together from all the excitment of the ER and hospital admission of my Dad over the weekend, then the emergency trip to the vet with Hider on MOnday. Both are doing better. Hider is almost back to her normal self. Dad is still on antibiotics and will be in the hospital for awhile longer.

Well...I dragged my butt outta bed somwhere around 11:15 this morning, which NEVER happens. Then again, we didn't go to bed till probably close to 2am last night thanks to issues Brian was having with my garmin and the new update and what not.....
Anyway - it's good I slept in cause I have work tonight so that works out perfectly! In the meantime I immediately put on a load of laundry so I have uniforms (never did that yesterday)
Need to pack up some food for work and fun things like that....and then it'll be work tonight. Not to much going on!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
