Best Race EVER!
So, when I started running two years ago I started out super slow... 14+ minute mile - more like a crawl than a run. Today my race pace was a 10:45 mile... my best time ever!! Of course, Dewey Beach is as flat as a pancake and in my head I was playing games like "I have to get in front of the lady in the purple shirt" or "I will be damned if I am going to let those two men finish in front of me!" The games in my head worked! I ran my fastest race ever. Looking into my next race another 10K - over the Ben Franklin Bridge. That sounds like a fun run!
