FORBIDDEN Before Pic **Look at your own risk**

I went to doc today for a follow up and as usual had my complaints about swelling and a whole list of questions. I adore my doc and thank God I found him, because not only is he extremely talented, but he is so humble and cares so much about his patients. You just don't see that all the time, unfortunately. So anyway.. he sat me down, looked me in the eye and calmly said, "Susan do you remember the day you walked into my office and the pictures we took?" It has only been 5 weeks, but I honestly forgot what I loooked like pre-op. He printed out the pics for me (now I have NEVER seen or taken a pic of my naked body EVER, you just dont do that when you have fat issues Shocked ) and handed them to me. I swore he printed the wrong patients pictures, I COULDNT POSSIBLY HAVE LOOKED LIKE THAT! Especially after losing 230lbs! And then I saw the panties and the chart with my name on it in the pic.
This moment slammed me into reality and I just broke down and cried. I now understand what he sees when he does a checkup and why he is so pleased with the outcome. Anyone from NY, PA or NJ I woul dhighly reccomend seeing him for a free consult if you are considering ps.
I can promise that I will not be complaining about my swelling anymore, I promise you that. It is only a temporary side effect of a surgery that gave me my life back and my body that has been hidden for over 20 years!
I have done something I NEVER would have had the guts to do before. I posted my bare ass pre TT pics for everyone to see. I am shaking as I type this because I never in a million years would have thought I would have the courage to show this picture to my best girlfriend, and here I am posting it on the web.
This long journey has had a lot of ups and downs, but today had to be one of the biggest eye openers for me ever.
Sorry for the long post and thanks for listening, it's such a comfort to know that you ladies understand Wink .

I will have to take a look at these when I get home (don't want to risk opening something up at work and getting in trouble) - but wanted to say congrats to you on your new found courage!  Whoo hoo!!!!!

Congratulations on your amazing weight loss and journey - I tried looking at your pictures but as soon as I saw the stitching I had to shut them down, knowing that if I continued to look I'd NEVER have PS!! LOL!! And trust me, its not like I haven't had surgeries (2 bi-lateral knee replacements just to name a couple), but I have never been able to watch surgeries on TV or anything like that - I just go in and get done what needs to be done. Right now I'm beginning to contemplate surgery on my sagging thighs - they're the worst part of my excess skin and really bothering me, both physically and mentally.

I'm very happy for you - I'm sure your results are amazing, you'll just have to excuse me for not being able to look - LOL!!!

Thank you so much.

My surgeon is Dr Charles Herman, he is absolutely wonderful and has the best bedside manner.  His office is at 100 Plaza Ct Ste C, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301 and he also has an office in NYC.
Love Love Love him!!!

Shauna and Nicole also used him - he's AWESOME.  I had the pleasure of meeting him at one of Nicole's follow up appointments.

I will tell you a short story about Dr H.  Yesterday he was so excited.  He is going to be on TV.  He is doing a special pro bono case on a wounded soldier from Iraq who lost almost his entire face from an attack.  They flew in the soldier yesterday and Dr H is going to reconstruct his entire face free of charge.  At the same time, the cable show American Chopper is going to be involved, building a custom bike, when sold, all proceeds will go to charity for the soldiers who are wounded.  The entire thing will be televised on television in November.  All the guys from American Chopper were at my docs office yesterday as well as the girl from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.    He was so humble about the entire thing and so excited.  I on the other hand was star struck!  lol.
