I have finally made it all the way through the BIG closet AND all the drawers.  Whew!  What a pile of gorgeous clothes I now have to donate!  Anyone who needs stuff in sizes LB14/16 and up to 22 (mostly in the 18 range), let me know!  there are biz suits, silk shirts, skirts, blouses, jeans, and polos...  These are mostly really good QUALITY clothes, mostly suitable for this time of year.

Unfortunately, i will not be at Liz's this month, as I'm teaching a workshop that day.  So if you want them contact me and we can figure out a different way for you to get them.  Of course, there's also first sat. at Barix and I can bring whatever's left at that point with me.  But I hope there's a lot less by that point!

It feels like my life is lighter :-).

And doing this is an affirmation that i'm never going back, as well.

I'm curious about how you are doing some wardrobe planning as the sizes go down. I have a few pairs of slacks in my current size, but once those are gone...

I guess I am thinking of some core ingredients for a basic wardrobe that I can pick up at resale or cheaply...

black slacks
khakis
a couple of sweaters
black skirt
a blazer to go with all of the above

I am fortunate that I have a winter coat and jacket that I'd "outgrown" years back, which are just now starting to fit...

Your thoughts?

Lynn,

right now, i've got 2 pairs of jeans (one light, one dark), 2 pairs of black pants (different styles), a black skirt, black leggings and tights (patterned and unpatterned), and some blouses in gray, white, and in color.

Don't laugh but i just found a treasure trove in some of my hubby's old clothes that he hasn't touched (or fit in) in years...  so THAT gave me a few nice tailored shirts (collared and un-collared), a brown tweed jacket (that fits PERFECTLY), and a black double-breasted suit coat that also fits to a T.

I'm looking for a couple of pieces in a nice chocolate brown (i've got some cute boots from a few years ago, a jacket and a couple of blouses that would work with it) so I can stay away from the "uniform" monotone - but it's HARD to find stuff that's not black and gray - that's the color scheme that seems to be "hot" right now.

This is the first time I'm trying to do wardrobe planning of any sort, and it's ... ummm.... interesting.  Especially as I'm still expreimenting with figuring out what my personal "style" is, too... since I've never had one other than "frump."

Sigh.  Who thought transformation would have so many intricacies, eh? haha

Karen I would also be interested in check something out.  I am just going into the 18-20 and looking for some new clothings.  You can PM me and we can exchange information and we can see how we can meet up.  I am also unable to make Liz's or the Barix meeting.

But let me know what is still available.

Thanks.

Jenn
