Good Morning All! Hope that you had a good weekend! Mine was good but BUSY! WE got a lot accomplished.

Today I am at wor****il 4 then stopping at Target for a few things, dropping something off at my Mom's and then home to make dinner. I also have to do some laundry that I didn't get done over the weekend and mop the kitchen floor - sounds like fun huh? lol

Have a great day all

Good  morning Liz,

Glad  you had a good weekend and got a lot done.

It's back to work for me today.  See how long I can survive.  Didn't have the best night sleep, probably the anticipation of going back after 3 weeks.

I managed to take a walk twice yesterday.  The second one was a pretty long walk, it helped having a friend walk with me.  Seemed to give me a little more energy from the walk.

I am down 24 pounds post op, which is great.  Not bad for a little under 3 weeks.

I am getting ready to shower and then to prepare my breakfast and lunch for work.

Have a great day all...well for a Monday anyway.

Geoff

Geoff,

Not sure what type of a job you have, but if you can try to install a program like Ergocizer on your computer.  You can set it to the time you want and it will prompt you (i have mine set to hourly) to do a basic little ergonomic exercise.  It might be a standing stretch, a seated movement, or even things for the wrists and ankles.  But most of all, it's a great reminder to get up and MOVE (take a walk to the water cooler, or whatever) in an environment where it's all too easy to get distracted and not notice how long you've been sitting still.

Ergocizer is what I use (it's free and available at
http://download.cnet.com/The-Ergociser/3000-2129_4-10398225.html ) but there are other options out there.  You can even use a kitchen timer, set to an hour or two hours, or whatever works for you.

Keep a water bottle handy throughout the day, and you'll do just great!

Good Morning everyone!

Liz, I love Target. Can I add some things to your list? I haven't had time to get there in a long while and am sure I could run up your bill quickly! LOL

Geoff, Good luck at work. Just remember to try and keep up with walking. Even if it is just a little here and there.

I have a simple day but so busy. If that makes any sense?

Wor****il 3:30.

Pick up kiddos

Get home to prepare dinner and get older boys to do thier homework.

Get to class and have my FIRST exam. I am scared as hell!

Go home and hang with kiddos a little before bedtime.

Ahhh, I am tired already! LOL. Hope everyone has a lovely day!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Oh Monday.. welcome back.

Today is a new week and the beginning of a new year for me.  I am going to try to make it great!

I am working 7-3:30 and possibly some OT depending on if my boss assigns some work out for me on a project that I am going to be doing.

After work, we will have dinner and then head to the gym.  I need to get back in my routine of going to the gym 4-5 days a week if I can.  I was slacking for the past few weeks on gym and food and the scale has not budged.  Time to get my arse in gear.

That's it for me.  Boring, but productive.

Today finds me back at work for the first time since surgery.  tried to do all my prep last night for food.  I start soft foods and have to remember to chew chew chew.

This week also starts my new routine of doing the gym after work.  Wish me luck.  It was much easier when I was at home and could just pick up and go.  LOL

My 1st slow down went away this past week and I'm very happy.  I'm below 250.  1st goal reached.  :-)

ok all have a great day.

Sandra - be careful starting new foods at work - I always advise trying them at home. You never know how your body will react. If you do try them at work eat extra slow and chew extra good!

Good luck with your first day back to work!
