Hi everyone -
Today has me back at work after a long, but fun weekend.  Yesterday I turned 40...ughhh.  But, my friends and family had a surprise party on Saturday night for me and my best friend who also turned 40 this month.  It was a lot of fun.

40 really isn't so bad.  Especially considering that I made the huge decision to change my life for the better.  I'm only sorry that I didn't do it sooner.  Who would have ever thought that me saying that my clothes don't fit means that they are all too big.  It used to mean that they were too small.

Have a super day all.

Lisa

HAPPY 40th!!!!!!  You gave yourself the most wonderful gift of all - a new chance at a wonderful life!

I had my surgery EXACTLY one month before my 40th!  At a family and friends gathering for my b-day - they bought me a birthday cake SCENTED candle.  They were amazing - and I still think that I couldn't have done anything better for myself!

And PS - I hate when people are just a little younger than me! :)  HAHAHAHAHA!

Enjoy what you have done for yourself! :)

Morning all - okay -guess its official - fall is here...brrrrrr.

Hubby and I had a great weekend away with friends - now its back to reality and work. That's okay, tho - jobs are a good thing! Brought my gym bag so I can get my butt back to Curves - haven't been there in too long so I'm anxious to get back.

Other than that not much new in my little world and we'd like to keep it that way. Wednesday my mom has a pet scan to see if the chemo treatments have helped slow down or shrink some of her cancer cells - her doctor is really pushing for more chemo but honestly I'm not sure her body can take much more - and when does quality life vs quantity life come into the equation??

Stay warm everybody - noticed the stinking trees are turning color already!!

Good Morning Liz & PA;

Today I'm not planning to much. I have the visiting nurse coming sometime today so not much I can do till she shows up - this is a pain.

I think my daughter and son-in-law are coming over to visit today.

I have to go shopping for a new food scale. Gene being helpful the other day cleaning the new one I just bought, must have gotten water in the LED display, now it won't do anything, so I'm hoping to find one at Target. This last one I found on Amazon and love it but want to get it now not wait till they ship it.

Will go for a walk someplace in there today. Sipping and walking, then rest for a little bit.

Hope everyone had a great day!!!!!

Ida

I am home sick today. I have strept throat thanks to the little ones. it barely stopped them but has knocked me on my butt. It just seems that since WLS antiobotics take a lot longer to go into effect. I should just ask them for an iv hook up...lol. It figures that today was supposed to be my first day back full time since my hip surgery and I had to call out. I can't even swallow so I know I am dehydrated but once the throat gets better this afternoon I'll drink, drink, drink. The mornings and night at the worst times.

Have a great day everyone.

I came home...took a really really hot shower...packed food for work...ate a little something...checked FB which was giving me problems so I stopped doing that...and came here.

And I'm going to bed!   We had one hell of a night last night....and can't wait to see what tonight brings.

It's one of the FEW nights that I actually came home from work feeling like my back was in about 30 pieces.  Granted, before surgery that would happen almost EVERY night so I understand how wonderful it is to be able to my job in this capacity....but ugh.

Waiting for the motrin/tylenol to kick in so I can lay down semi comfortably and then it'll be back to work for the 2nd of 3.
