Hi everyone,
Simple day to day. One meeting and a lunch and done for the day at work.

After work I will try to figure out how to move my airplane from my hanger to a shop 15 miles away. They are working on it during the reconstruction phase. I need them to finish their work so I can move it to PA. Its not easy moving an airplane that does not fly.

I also have a couple of pups that I will need to find a new Vet for when I get to Avis, PA

Have a good day.

Good Morning,
Nothing new here.  Looking for a Lawyer who handles unemployment comp cases in Phila area. (I am so getting tired of this fight).  Then some phone calls(one to Dr B office) and then upstairs to start packing up the house of any non day to day needs, so they can be moved to the new location. (sure hope DH does  not find a buyer real close to my surgery date, don't know what I will do then as he wants rid of this house, business, and property ASAP, which will create a new problem as I bought a House in Tenn.)  I guess I will worry about that if it happens.  That's my day in a nut shell.  Have a good on everyone.

Good morning - man, I hope you guys feel better soon - sorry to hear about all these head colds and stuff going around.

I am home today - have to take mom for a pet scan. This may or may not determine if the chemo treatments were effective at all. We are still not sure there will be any more treatments - not sure her body can take another round. Oct 1 we see the oncologist again and hopefully will know more.

So not much on my agenda today other than running her around and spending time with the dog.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good Morning Linda, PA,

Sounds like people are dealing in viral things, glad we are online and I can't catch it. . .  hope all feel better soon, you too, Pam with your UTI, they are a pain in the neck for sure. . .

Yesterday was a good day, I saw my son, his wife and my sweet grandbabies, we celebrated my son's 36th birthday and it was so cute listening to my little Avery Grace, as she sang, Happy Birthday to my Daddy, Happy Birthday to my Daddy, therein lies the joy in my life and my son and I had a very productive conversation in the morning on my way to work, so hopefully, a bridge is being built that finally puts to bed his feelings with regards to mistakes made.

Anyway, I also am happy to share with you all, that my tool is working great, as I have been careful about what I choose to eat and I weigh myself every morning before I shower, and today for the first time in about 2 months the scale had me below 160, which makes me happy, as I was not happy with the direction it was in, which I attribute in part to my lack of regular exercise for a while, as well as some food choices that I needed to cut out.  I will see my surgeon next month for my 2 year follow-up and I don't want to be at last years, or, worse still, above what I was at my 1 year check up.  Your encouragement and my participation in support is what keeps me going and I know that it is a key to being successful on this journey!

Well to all in need, I send my prayers and positive thoughts your way and hugs to the rest of you,

Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Today I was with the kiddos from 8:45 - 2:00.  During my planning period I talked to Whitney (the nurse at Dr. Brader's office) about what I have to do for my upcoming surgery on Wednesday.  I am thankful for a principal who has allowed me to keep my cell phone on during the day so that I could communicate with his office this week.  I left school at 2 to get my chest x-ray done and tomorrow morning I will complete my bloodwork.  Then I think I am set.  I don't feel well - constant throbbing pain.  I don't think Wednesday will come soon enough.

Hey Liz - I have been fighting an infection around my port area since July.  I have been on antibiotics and had the area lanced... awful, foul smelling, oozing green goo has been coming out for almost 2 months.  It looks better but it doesn't feel better.  For the past two weeks I have been in pain.  It is tolerable but effecting everything I do.  I tried running the other day and had to stop because of the throbbing pain.  So after many trips out to Lancaster and several emails Dr. Brader and I have decided it is time to remove my old port and put in a new one (because I have been whining about it - he is probably tired of me...lol)  That is it in a nutshell.  I have no idea why an infection decided to plant itself there and it has puzzled Dr. B too.

Surgery is Wednesday morning.  I have been busy getting a substitute and getting my plans ready - it's not like I can just take off.  I have lived with it this long I can certainly live a few more days.  Can't wait to start feeling better and get back to pounding the pavement!!
