Manic Monday Roll Call

I have been dilly dallying this morning.  Slow to move.  I didn't have the most restful night's sleep but I did  get enough.

I am totally looking forward to Friday already....lol

Today shouldn't be too bad barring any production issues and my boss's mood.  It changes by the minute.  Tonight I have my weekly support group which is always fun, the people there are so nice.

It is difficult to beleive that Wednesday is 6 weeks already since my surgery.  I am down 39 pounds post op.  Not too bad.  I continue to build my blood levels.  The iron dropped a tad last week, but the rest of my bloodwork improved.

I am going to push myself today and get to the gym during lunch.

I hope everyone has a terrific Monday, but yes, I am ready for Friday.

Good luck to Andy today.

Today has me writing a paper for my first on-line class that begins tomorrow night. Instructor sent an email last night that the paper is due by midnight tonight. Really not sure I'm liking this on-line thing.

Then I have to start working on the paper I have due for my Thursday class. I'm glad I have all this stuff to keep me occupied while I'm off from work recovering. I'll find out on the 22nd when doc is sending me back to work.

I'm also planning to make some tofu something or other for Gene for dinner tonight. Was planning on making it yesterday but got home late yesterday from shopping and didn't feel like cooking so I'll make it today.

I also have an eye doctor appt. today. I can't wait to see him, I'm having so much trouble reading with my current glasses, might be time for a new perscription.

My daughter and son-in-law are coming over to help me clean up the yard and get all my bushes and plants cut down for the winter.

Somewhere in all the above activity I'll be going out for my 2.5 mile walk.

Good morning! Best wishes to Andy on his surgery today - he's going to do just great!! Keep us posted and let us know how he's doing.

I'm back at work - busy weekend but fairly quiet - got lots of cleaning & laundry done Saturday and finally got my nails done - spent some time with a friend and that was it. Yesterday I detailed my SUV and did some more housework and that was it. Napped a lot!

I have been corresponding with that old high school friend who found me thru another friend - today I received an e-mail telling me she has a 32 year old daughter (same as me) AND she's had gastric bypass surgery!! So it appears we have lots in common and I'm anxious to write back to her and tell her all about mine, etc. So this was a good re-connection, I'm thinking.

Other than that not much new going on in my life - last week I spoke to several nurses connected with mom and the family concensus is that she will not be having additional treatments at this time - she will probably go to Florida with my sister and brother for the winter and rest and recuperate and build her strength back up and then maybe look at having more treatments in the spring.

One other note - my daughter called me Friday night telling me that she's been having killer headaches when her heart rate is elevated and her bp spikes - they don't last long - maybe 5 minutes - but the last one must have brought her to her knees during a work-out, so she was going in for a CT scan on Saturday - I know she's really scared (so am I, of course). We talked on Saturday and they didn't get the total scan done (another screw up with a radiology dept) and after talking to her it seems to me that it may be more of a drug reaction with some meds she's on - at least that's what I'm hoping. She sees her doctor this morning and I should know more later today.

Man it is always something...

Best of luck to your daughter with all the testing and what not.  Hopefully it is just an "easy" fix of changing some meds around.  Although less common in females, another possibility is something called "cluster" or "ocular" headaches...they are normally on one side of the head more prodominently, is accompanied by the symptoms you mention, along with a runny nose and watering eyes.  Just a thought.

Good Morning all........

I am pooped! We have all the major stuff moved. There is only misc. things at the old place. But alot of it so it's not over yet. but all of our "livable" stuff is moved and almost put away. So thank goodness!

Today has me bored out of my mind....I am sure. No patients to see. One doc is on vacation, so the other doc is busy covering 2 hospitals and 50 dialysis patients. Therefoe, no office patients for me today or tomorrow.

This evening will be bringing another small load of things to new house, organizing, and making an easy dinner as it will just be Jantzen and I most of the evening.

Today has me off for work due to Columbus Day.  However, I was up bright and early to head off to Quest to get my labs drawn.  I was there forever.  They needed 5 tubes of blood and stuck me a couple of times just to get what they needed.  I was in there for a while.  Although I felt bad for the girl who was drawing my blood - she felt really bad for having to stick me more than once and for holding me up.  Fortunately, I didn't have to get to work.

Later today I am heading to Philly with my friends from work.  We are going to lunch at another one of our co-workers today.  It should be very nice.

Good morning Chris and everyone!  Good luck to Andy today - I am sure it will be a fine afternoon.

I am off today - Thank you Mr. Columbus.  It is a good thing too, becase from 10 PM until 2:15 AM, I was a little busy with a high heart rate....Really, what were the baseball muckity mucks thinking putting the world series champs on at such an ungodly hour.  Really....being a fairweather fan is hard on some people! :)

Today has me doing some more work in the girls rooms, heading to the market, grading more papers and taking Molly to dance class tonight.  I love days off without any major plans.

Good morning. I am sending healing energy and light to Andy. Wishing you the best .
Today I am just waiting to see what they say about my cat scan for kidney stones and taking it easy.
I felt good yesterday during the day then last night pain again. I had to take strong pain medication and go to bed.
I called the doctor this morning and they said they didn't have the results.
I don't understand what they are doing. What if I had a blockage in my kidney or something. I can't stand when things aren't done proffesionally. They even had my appointment time screwed up. gggrrr.

Good morning everyone.  Bravo to Andy hey everyone move over on the losers bench and make room for Andy.  Christine I am sure you won't leave the building so just bring a good book to read. You have turned into a positive Zumba exercising person so I say go for it.  Hmmm I wish I could talk George into doing this surgery but as Dennis and Beth have advised me keep my mouth shut he has to want to do this of his own free will.  Ugh! I am going to be going thru the internet looking for work.  I so hate not working it stinks! Trying to stay positive about the whole unemployment thing.  Everybody have a good day.
