Congratulations!  Your story and journey are a definite inspiration!

Why not get some photos of you in 'THE DRESS"?  I'm sure we'd all love to see how pretty you are... But then again, we already know how pretty your are!!!

Laureen,

This is just what I needed to read on a cold, dreary Friday afternoon.  You always have a lot to offer at the support group meetings and I am grateful to know you.  These past few days have not been good for me because I have discovered that I can eat chocolate (specifically mini Oreos) in minute quantities.  It took me 3 days to finish off a bag that used to take me five minutes but I know that this is not a slope that I want to start going down.

A good friend of mine always reminds me that it is "Progress not Perfection" that is important.  As you said we all have to travel our own unique WLS journey but thank God for the great support that is out there through this message board and the Barix groups.  I also consider myself truly blessed to be a part of this amazing process.

Have fun at the wedding and I also want to see some pictures.  Take care.Laureen.

Love, Donna

Thank you Donna, I appreciate your kind words, pics will come; jus****ch the chocolate ok ;) if you find it is a trigger, than do as I did when I had the dark chocolate covered something or another and found that in 3 days I ate the bag, one serving size at a time, but I think there were supposed to be 8 servings and I did not buy them again (lol). . .

Hugs, Laureen

Laureen - You always end your roll calls with a wish for any of us who are struggling to find some peace in whatever it is we are going through!  It is a wonderful parting thought as we go through our days.  Your story is as much an inspiration to us as you say we are to you.  Here you are two years out, knowing that you are STILL much involved in a journey.  One that works for you!  While we all have different paths to follow, the journey is the goal.  Every journey has bumps and I feel quite lucky that you have continued to follow the path in lieu of those bumps.  Hearing your story just helps me know that this will NOT end and that we are a large family of people who truly understand each other.  Thanks for sharing your story and here is to many more surgiversaries in which we can hear about your successes! :)

Steffi,

Thank you for your kind words, it is all of you who I draw strength off of, as the collective group makes us whole and I hope to stay on this journey for as long as I am able, one day at a time, for a lifetime.

Hugs, Laureen
