Just wanted to introduce myself
Welcome!! The great thing about this board is that it doesn't matter how far apart we are geographically - this board makes us feel as close as neighbors (and family). And you'll find that we're not just supportive of our weight loss journeys - this board will come to your rescue if you need to vent over anything - will pray for you no matter if a problem is weight loss related or not - and someone is always 'here' to provide support, guidance, comfort or whatever else you may need.
I know 6 months seems like a long time to you right now but once you start the process it really will fly by and one day you'll be posting a thread that says 'my day is tomorrow!'. I went to my first meeting in June '07 and had my surgery Feb '08 - trust me, it didn't seem all that long.

Welcome to the PA board. You will find lots of support and information here. This can be a frustrating journey at first with the insurance requirements but in the end it is so satisfying to have your life back. And looking good too surely doesn't hurt. Do lots of research and make the best possible decision for you. Belinda
