A little late this morning....  Today I am at wor****il 4:30, at lunch having my blood drawn for a coumadin check.  Then home to be with the babies.  Not anything too fun.  This is the third day of pureed food, I LOVE TO CHEW again, even if it already in a paste I still chew, silly I know.  JoJo I hear you with the algebra, I had to take Physics in X-Ray school I thought I was going to DIE!!  Hope you all feel better!!

Good Almost Afternoon Lisa, PA,

Enjoy your day off, I took off yesterday in order to be near home with Dillinger and to take care of some things I could not do on a Saturday, however, I was not able to make the Barix meeting last night and missed seeing everyone and hearing all the great stuff that normally takes place there. . .

Anyway, I
had a little conversation with Dillinger before going to sleep last night and basically told him, I needed a full night of uninterrupted sleep, so no whining and waking up Mom to go out, but not really want to do potty. . .  guess he understood, because I did not get up until my housemate got up to make coffee this morning at 5:30, tough sleeping on the floor in the living room (lol), but it's a choice I'd gladly make again for the old boy, who as each day passes is doing very well.

We did have a little scare yesterday, when I took him out for a walk, as the vet does not want him doing anything that might cause the stitches to open up, so I can't let him out back because of the fence running he does when Zesus the neighbor's dog is out back. . .  anyway, I took him out and we were slowly walking, he was about to do a number 2 potty when out of no where comes this Dalmatian dog, from the neighbors house 3 doors down, well Dillinger got all riled up, my adrenalin started pumping, as I screamed for the neighbor to come get his dog, which luckily he did right away, apologizing profusely.  Other than Dillinger's back legs going under and it taking him a couple of minutes to get up, he appeared to be ok.  Me on the other hand was a mess, all shaky from the adrenalin.  After that he just wanted to go home, luckily I was able to get him out for another potty break later, which was good and probably the reason why he did not wake me all night, as the first two nights, he wanted to go out, but did not want to go down the steps, I had to trick him down the stairs a couple of times by telling him we would go for a ride in the car, it takes what it takes. . .tomorrow night we go for a check up and bandage change.

As you can see, I am not working too hard today, some days it's busy as can be and others find me on here reading and posting to make my day go by, but so long as I can stay employed (corporate bankruptcy is big enough business that I am not concerned at the moment) that is what matters most.

Well that's my contribution to the thread for today, hope you all have a good day and I continue to wish strength to those facing tough life situations.

Hugs, Laureen

Good afternoon everyone...

This morning I woke up the girls sitting on top of me, watching me sleep.  They clearly don't understand that daddy worked till 1am, but it was kinda cute.  After they went to school, we went and got paint / primer to paint their room and did a little more running around.  Had lunch and now I am here at work again till 1am.  The crappy weather and this little cold I have is going to make tonight a very long night!  Hope everyone enjoys what is left of the day!

OK....so it's 5pm and I'm just getting around to roll call.

I actually got out of work at 5:30 this morning - yay!  Went to Walmart and ended up doing much more shopping than I had anticipated on - but now I don't have to go out tomorrow for stuff as originally planned (HINT:  I started with one of the carry baskets and then ended up getting a cart, LOL)

Today is our annivesary - 4 years married and 9 years together (we got married on our dating anniversary)  So when I came home I wrapped up his gift and put his cards out.

Then I went to town making a big ol pot of home made turkey stock which will become turkey soup next week.  It ended up being a bit more work than I had anticipated, as my biggest pot did not hold the turkey whole, so I spent the early morning hours hacking away at a cold, slippery, wet turkey.  I'm lucky I have fingers left, seriously.

Brian got up....spent some time with him and then finally took a nap.

After this I have to get into the shower and get dressed - we're going to the Melting Pot  in Bethlehem for dinner tonight.  LOVE LOVE LOVE that place!  Now if they just had a sf chocolate fondue....

Tonight will probably be some cuddling with a movie seeing how long I can stay awake, LOL

Hope you all had a good day!

Pam
