Does Geisinger in Danville Still Accept Medicaid(Accrss Card)?

Hello,

My name is Jeremey Allen. I hurt my back a few years back and have since gained over 120lbs.

My question is: Does anyone know if Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA still accept Medicade Access Card for Lap Band Surgery?

I have read on this forum that they used to, but those posts are quite old.

Secondly, if they do, what hoops do they make you jump through Pre-Op?

yes they do.  I am in month 4 of 6 month wait, and I am on medicaid.  I am getting RNY, but they do accept it for lap band also.  I was not sure in the beginning what  I wanted.  If you have any questions about the program, feel free to add  me and ask.

Do all of the clinics in PA require the 6 Month diet/wait?

And, what were your reasons for choosing the RNY over Lap Band?
