Welcome!

I did not have surgery at the WL clinic - but I was not on a liquid diet before hand.  My only requirement was clear liquids the day before and then nothing by mouth after midnight.  Looking forward to going through your journey with you!

DEFINATELY the little things that will play a BIG part later on down the road.  Keep up the walking around the stores...and you can slowly upgrade that to even doing things like parking further away in the parking lot and what not!

Hi Jenn.. welcome to the Pa board.  I did not have my surgery at the WL clinic either, but I just wanted to pop in and welcome u.

I had to do 2 weeks of South Beach and then 2 days of liquids.  It wasn't bad at all.  I would just try to watch what you are eating and start to exercise in any way you can...like u did by walking around Walmart.  Any little bit helps.

Hang on tight and enjoy the ride! You'll be on the loser's bench soon!

Hi Jenn,
I too had surgery at the WL Clinic with Dr. Currie and I know exactly how you feel. No liquid diet for me either and my surgery was Jan 7 of 2009 so it's just about a year. I feel great and have had no problems. These are great people at the WL Clinic and they will help you along the way if you need them. This message board is also a great help. I don't talk on it much but I do read it each day and find that a lot of my concerns, thoughts and worries are all usually addressed here at some time. It's great to know that you're not alone in this wonderful journey that you are about to embark on. Best of luck and welcome.

Susie
