That sounds like so much fun.  I think I'm going to round up the grandchildren and do it one night. 

 Maybe we should get a bunch of us together after support group before winter's over and have an outing?

That's great Lis!  and a wonderful way to bond with Siehara and her friends; being an active Mom.  I took my stepdaughter skating a couple times since losing and what you said is so true.   The sense of balance is there now and that's what I couldn't keep when I was heavier, though I still skated, but it killed my shins and hamstrings.  It's like the weight distribution is automatic.   I found the same thing happened with high heels.  The more I lost the higher the heel got yet the balance and control was the same.  I could run in 4" heels never thinking that with a quick stop might twist an ankle.  I used to twist an ankle in a 2" heel.  Strange but cool little things we discover.....
