Set Back

I certainly hope you get answers soon!  I hate to say it - but it sounds like you might need some IV lasix or other diuretic.

As an aside...I don't think the "extra weight loss" was related to this at all.  I'm not quite sure why you suddenly ballooned up after taking out some fluid - I'm leaning towards coincidence but not entirely sure.

Don't worry so much about your looks right now - it will go away soon.  However....I totally agree w/ you being concerned about the fluid in general.  It's nothing to mess around with, as you know, and are already taking the correct steps to correct it.  Def call your doc while at work today and tell them your weight changes and what not.  They may want to see you soon or even have you evaluated in the ER if your labs aren't back as of yet.

Honey we all have some vanity in us - don't you think I'm thrilled when I see a much smaller face in the mirror and collarbones?? And I don't care if I have turkey neck - it beats the heck out of having 3 chins!!

I am just very concerned about the rapid weight gain and the fluid build-up - Pam's right - serious stuff and you're addressing it the right way - and once they get it resolved (and I'm confident they will) I'm sure all those extra pounds will start falling off as fast as they came on - especially if its all fluid - and you'll be back to the new, more vain Diane - and that is nothing to be ashamed of!!

I don't want to scare you, but I'd get to the ER ASAP.  Sounds like you need IV diuretics.  Please DO NOT fool around with this.  You could really do damage to your heart.  I care that's why I'm writing this.  Please keep us posted.

Diane, why aren't you in the hospital?   I'm currently dealing with my Mom in CHF and it's nothing to mess around with, other organs can be affected and damaged and if too much fluid builds up the process to draw it off must be done very slowly so as not to harm the kidneys and freak out the BUN and creatinine.   I am surprised your doc hasn't sent you in.   PLEASE take this a little more seriously.  

I will be thinking of you and hoping for a speedy recovery to this issue. It sounds like you are doing everything you can do to take care of yourself, so just continue it. Take care.

So sorry to hear that you are going throught this. Please continue to follow up with your doctor and do what they tell you. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us all updated as you can. Hopefully they will get this issue resolved quickly for you.
