I know that many of you have gone through sad and hard times.

Well, my Father has end stage Parkinson's,.. and is now in hospice care.

I've been staying over night with him for the last seven nights.

I am a nurse and have taken care of many patients that were dying.
...But now I am the daughter.

Please keep him in your prayers...That he passes peacefully, with no pain. I don't want him to feel scared.  Susie

I will keep you both in my prayers.. I took care of my mother from dec 09 till oct 09 in my home.. She had terminal cancer and passed away OCt 24th and it was one of the hardest things I have done, and hospice in my house was wonderful. I am still dealing with my grief..

I pray he passes away peacefully ......

Sending prayers of peaceful passing for your Dad.  In Heaven he'll be healed of his pains and frustrations.  God Bless you both at this time.

I'm glad you're able to spend this time with your dad, as hard as it is.  It's a gift you'll never regret.  And hospice is a beautiful thing.  I'll pray for peaceful times for all of you.  I remember my dad's passing.  He wasn't sacred; he was so weak and tired, he was ready to go.  This may sound funny, but have you given him permission to go?  Sometimes our parents just need to know we'll be ok before they can move on.
