****Terrific Tuesday Roll Call****

Well, I am actually heading to bed after watching the Olympics.  Some inspiring stuff, like the Canadian guy who got the first gold medal on Canadian soil for them, and the Chinese pairs skating.

I have to get up early and call the school secretary because I was originally supposed to return to work, but got a letter from the school district that I have to go downtown on Wednesday for a meeting with the school doc.  I cannot return to work till that meeting takes place.

I also have to call Dr. Marymor, as he called me this afternoon, while I was out walking the dog, and I need to return his call.

I am struggling to keep my spirits up, and just admitting that makes me scared.

Trish

Hang in there, Trish.

I assume you are seeing a therapist of some sort?  Maybe call them and tell them that you are struggling to keep your spirits up and that is scaring you.  Catch it earlier rather than trying to stave it off and have it "snowball" (no pun intended) later on down the road?

Let's see....I'm here in jersey.  It started snowing by the house in Pa pretty steadily around 7ish so I left real early as I needed gas and I wanted to leave extra time.  Well..I got 2 miles down the road and there was absolutely NOTHING on the roadway and stayed that way *most* of my trip down.  Needless to say I got into the area about 1hr early...so I spent some alone time in my car, listening to music, paid some bills online and things like that.

Liz - your "direct line" worked well - I'm was not in charge when I got here and according to the schedule (subject to change I suppose) I'm also not in charge on Tuesday night.  Thanks!

Got a lot of catching up done here, too.....the "monday madness" wasn't nearly as bad.  In fact right now we have 3 patients in the ER which NEVER happens (and we have 3 nurses...so we're in a 1:1 ratio.  Nice!  That won't last, I assure you.)  Booked a surprise birthday "getaway" for Brian and I for him.  I'm taking him to a B&B right by our house (like a mile away) that is called the "lafayette inn"  I booked us for one night in one of their luxury suites...fireplace in the bedroom, whirlpool tub, heated bathroom floor, an hour long massage for two in the room, breakfast brought to the room the next morning, champagne and choc covered strawberries in the room when we get there.  Spent way to much - and not really sure if it's more a present for me or him....but whatever!

Going to the parents house today - checking in on dad to make sure his gallbladder stent is working and he's not getting more and more yellow.  There were concerns on late Friday night....but we shall see.  Assuming he looks ok I'll go to bed shortly thereafter.  If he looks worse to me, he's going to the ER if he likes it or not.  He's a stubborn stubborn man I tell you!  This is the same man who walked around with appendicitis for 3 1/2 days until it burst and he became septic a bunch of years back (it was just "indigestion" don't ya know, according to him, lol)

Working tonight again this time from 7p-6a.  blech :(

Then coming home early wednesday morning!!

Stay safe - I'm sure the roads are at the very least slippery and wet...

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

I told ya it would :) lol

Hope that your Dad is doing OK. OH and I walked around with appendicitis for 3 days too before I went to the ER- thank God mine didn't burst but it was an emergency surgery at 11pm... Mine was the fault of a stupid nurse at my PCP's office though.

Good Morning Trish & PA:

Trish, will keep you in our prayers.

Today is much of the same.  Work till 4, then home to finish writing that darn paper.  Prof gave an extension till Thursday morning.  I have the paper written, just have to incorporate some citations from our reading material then email it.  I have another paper due for my class on Thursday night.  Have to send an email to that prof, not sure what is required to be in that paper.  Need more clarification.

After work will come home, work on both papers, probably early to bed since tonight is one of Gene's late nights with clients.

This coming Thursday and then Monday the 22nd are my last two classes.  I will be done school as of MOnday YEAH.....Then I probably will not know what to do with myself :-)

Have a great day - be safe driving this morning...

Ida

Well, I thought I posted but it apparently didn't work.  Let's try this again.

Trish, I hope you find the strength and help you need to get past this difficult time in your life.  It is good that you can admit the problem because then you can get the help you need.  My heart is with you.

Today has us getting back to normal.  I'm back to work and Siehara is back to school---FINALLY.. Of course she didn't want to get her butt out of bed this morning.  This is a combination of the fact that she was up entirely too late Sunday night and that she does not want to go back to school today.

After work, I will try to get in some kind of workout here at home and make dinner.

Siehara has her appointment with her therapist tonight and I will run to the grocery store to pick up a few things while she is in there.  Afterwards, we have 3 choices of things to do.  Support group at my hospital, synagogue board meeting or home to rest.  I'm guessing it will be home for rest since Siehara (and I) need to catch up from Sunday night.  I'll send a report to the synagogue president letting him know that I probably won't make it.

That's it for me.  I hope everyone has a good day!

Trish - I hope you start feeling better! I agree with Pam, better to address these issues early and nip them in the bud!

I am at work this morning, took a little longer then usual - not because of the quality of the roads but the stupidity of the drivers who felt the need to go 35MPH the whole way... I am on one road for 32 miles and there are very few passing zones. It is 1 lane.

Last night I am not sure if dinner didn't agree with me or I have a touch of a bug but nothing was staying down. Feeling a little queasy this morning but we'll play it out and see how the day goes. I have easy pouch foods with me today.

After work I have to stop at the bank and the chiropractor then home to rest! See - I am following the Dr's orders!

good morning Trish and PA-Trish you need to take baby steps one day at a time and one thing at a time or else you will have this overwhelming feeling to try and deal with so take a deep breath and grab pen and paper and list things according to most important to least important and one thing at a time and check them off as you go.  This morning has me sitting in my home/office looking out the window being grateful that I am in a warm and dry house with electricity and heat as we just went thru a powerout last wednesday, thursday and friday morning and now I am set up for heaven forbid it happening again.  My barbeque grill is right on my little platform, generator is filled with gas and cords are ready to be hooked up and candles and lighter are ready to go and the ice chest is on standby and hopefully now that we are prepared it won't happen again.  Won't hurt my feelings a bit.  This afternoon has me pet sitting and then to physical therapy to the market and then home.  Everybody stay warm and have a great day!

Good Morning everyone !

Hopefully things will be back to normal this week and the weather will not give us too much trouble.

Today has me at work til 3:30 and then I will hit the gym on the way home.  I was finally able to get in the two classes that I needed with the personal trainer yesterday.  Basically, they take you around to each machine and show you how to operate it and have you do a couple of test reps to make sure that you know what you are doing.  My biggest fear at the gym is sitting on a machine backwards or doing something equally as stupid and looking like the #1 dummy of the gym

I have to get a call in today to Dr. Pupkova's office.  I've been trying to get my April appt. set up since my January appt.  For some reason they didn't have their computer system set up to make appts yet.  Weird.  The last time I called, they told me to call back mid-February.  Hopefully I'll be able to make my appt. today.

Hope everyone has a super day !

Lisa
