I drove to work with sunglasses on last night.  Had I not been going to work I would have been THRILLED

Today is a freaking day off - two of them in a row to be exact!  And I couldn't be happier.

I've been complaining a lot lately about the work crap and how busy we've been - but I must say - at least I have a job to go to each night that keeps Brian and I financially secure and actually DO like what I do.  Sometimes a little overwhelming and this week was one overwhelming night after another.

Anyway - today - going to the food store.  I have't done ANY cooking lately and I need to get some stuff TO cook.  I'm feeling VERY domestic and may just make a full roast chicken dinner tonight.  We'll see.

Other than that...probably a nap...and then hopefully getting outside for at the very least a walk and to show my pale face to the sun!

Enjoy!

Pam

Hi all,

I have a lot of choices today but will I do them all?  I hope so.  I looked at my hands and they are puffy.  Can't figure that one out.  It is going to be an awesome day.  I will grill outside today.  I need to burn another audiobook for my trips to school and back.  I need to practice for Easter and etc.

Good morning Pam and PA,

Yum, Pam.  You're making me want to bake a roaster chicken too!  My DH loves a pot of chicken soup with the leftovers so he has lunch for a few days - lol

I had such a great day yesterday at the Barix support group.  I drove almost 2 hours to get there, but it was so worth it.  I came away loaded with enthusiasm and learned so much about nutrition.  It was really awesome seeing friends and meeting people from the forum!  What a fantastic group!

Today, I'm working for several hours and then not sure what after that.  It looks like it's going to be a nice day today.....come on spring - lol

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Pam,
I already took Utley for a good walk this morning.  It is gorgeous out there today.  My sister is coming over to take me to the grocery store because I still can't drive.  I am almost there, but not quite yet.  The worst of the side effects is done, and I am still just nodding off a little bit, not as much as I used to.

Today has me getting some groceries, and walking Utley, nothing more.  Oh, yeah, getting my bedroom to the point where I can live in it and not climb over things.  I got my living room done last night, and Utley tore apart a stuffed bear and spread the guts all over the carpet I had just vaccuumed.  Go figure.

Have a great day.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning everyone! The weather is incredible, even though I'm not healed enough to go out and enjoy it yet. It's a promise of what's to come in more ways than one!

Today is my 4th day post op, I've been home since Friday afternoon, and now I'm on full liquids, I just had my first protein shake and I feel great!

Stacy,

Welcome to the loser's bench!!!  Glad you're home and feeling well!!!  Try to get out for at least a short walk today---walking helps us to heal, and being out on a beautiful day can't hurt either!!!

Good morning, all!!!

The only thing I have planned today is to exercise and to do some laundry.  My Splenda cookbook came yesterday, so I think I'll look through that.  (I have some bananas that are pretty ripe, so I want to find something to make with them.)

It was great getting to see a lot of folks at Barix yesterday and to finally meet some of my OH friends, like Debbie.

Have a great day, everyone!!!

Howdy all,

Still in my Sunday morning routine . . . checking boards, reading paper, drinking coffee . . . love it.

Plan to get some extra vitamin D today from that big yellow ball in the sky.  Thinking maybe going up to New Hope and walking around.

I've DVR'd the NASCAR race, so I can watch it later in about an hour vs. the 4 hours if you watch it live.

Yesterday I made this great tuna noodle casserole with smart-right pasta.  Got the recipe off a diabetic recipe site.  It was wonderful.  We'll have left-overs tonight.

Other than that, some laundry and few other household chores.

Have a great day everyone.

I have a lot of things I want to do today, but if I only manage to take care of myself, then that is fine with me. One day at a time....I have to keep telling myself that.
