Karen is in holding. I got to the hospital after they tookher out of the er and I was originally told that no one was slowed back to holding (common practice in most places). But about two mins later a nurse came out and said "are u Pam?". I said yes...and they informed me they were breaking the rules and letting me back to see her. I spent about ten mins with her

she thanks us for all the thoughts and prayers and says we r one amazing group of friends. She never imagined that wls would bring a band of "sisters" together!

They ate cleaning the OR room she will be in now. The nurse said it is taking longer than she thought but it should b soon. The pain meds are working well

the surgeon has removed her gallbladder in the past so she knows him

they have decided to do it open because it will be one very small incision and will actually LESSEN her restrictions in the gym and what not much sooner. "almost immediately" is what the surgeon told her

Eddie, her husband just got back to the hospital so they booted me out so he could be in holding with her.

I'll hang around till just after surgery I think...I'll talk to Eddie about it when he comes out.

Thanks again from Karen and family! U guys rock! (but we already knew this now, didn't we?)

Thanks Pam.
I of course saw Karen too last night and she was fine.
As our group grows I guess stuff does happen and it's happening a lot more often than we would ever want. All we can do is be there for them, and we are.
Prayers for Karen and her family for a speedy recovery.
