Counseling?
Hello All,
I generally don't post, but am looking for some information.
I am 6 years post-op and wondering if anyone has the names of any good counselors/psychologists/psychiatrists that specialize or deal a great bit with the mental side of food issues, such as addiction, compulsiveness, etc.
Thanks!
Jess
PS: I am in Pottstown, looking for someone in bucks/mont county if possible.

Hi Jess,
Eileen Connolly is in the Newtown and Langhorne areas. She works with food addiction issues and comes to many of the Barix support group meetings to further inform herself on the issues. She's been trying to get a therapy group together on the topic, as well. She might be a good resource. 610-696-3368

I went to Gateway for my psych eval for surgery and I will never go back... they kept telling me I would never be successful with anything with gastric bypass.. so I went to Dr. Hill up here in Reading to redo my psych eval even though Gateway passed me... something about them scared me and I wanted to make sure i was in the right place for this life style change...
Also, Nicole on here does a lot of work with this... she is in Lancaster I believe... not sure where her office is... but she is awesome!!!
