***Stupendous Saturday Roll Call***

Good Morning Pam and friends,
I am getting myself ready for a busy day of fun.  The Munchkins are in town, and I am thrilled.  First, I must get some shopping completed...need some potatoes for homemade scalloped potatoes, and Mom needs something from the Amish market in Bristol, where I live.  I also must get my butt to a meeting.  Then, to my sister's to help her get ready for our Easter dinner and egg hunt.
I had my back procedure yesterday, and learned I need they could only do one side, and must do the other side in two to three weeks.  I did get to a meeting last night, which was good for me.  I realized that when Mom and Daughter are together in my life, I have relapsed for some reason.  I am protecting my sobriety by getting to these meetings.

Have a blessed weekend.

Hugs,
Trish

From Morrisville, take Rt. 13 toward Bristol, and when you get to the traffic light at Green Lane, where the Wawa is across from the turnpike entrance, turn left onto Green Lane.  Behind the Wawa you will see the Amish Market.

Welcome to Lower Bucks County.

Hugs,
Trish

Thanks so much...I'm going to check it out today!  I moved to Morrisville in Oct and have not had too much time to venture out due to work.  Any other favorite places to check out would greatly be appreciated.

Good morning, everyone!!!

Busy day today.  I think we're going out to breakfast, then have to run an errand.  We want to stop at an open house for some beachfront condos.  The prices are pretty high, but it's free to look---and dream.  Then we have to pack up and head to Lancaster.  We have my cats with us, so we need to drop them at my brother's house.  (He keeps them for me when I'm away for any extended period.  And he's decided that they're his cats and he just lets me borrow them.)  We'll be going to my mom's house, where we'll stay through Easter.

Have a great day, everyone!!

Will miss the support group today :(

My husband Mark and I are heading to the basement to do a base level fitness test to start "insanity" which is an intense 60 day workout series - I fear it may take us 120 to complete, but it really really gets you moving like nothing I have ever done before.

We head out at about 10:30 to Wilkes Barre to the in laws - today will be dedicated to shopping with my mother in law.  Tomorrow we can look forward to a turkey devoid of moisture as only she can make... mmmmm that should go down easy...  I shouldn't complain - I have a wonderful Mother in law (how many people can say that?)

Am feeling bad I won't see my mom for easter so I went to see her last night - but she is doing so much better - she is able to walk ~ 100 steps with the walker and has lost ~30 lbs since she has been in rehabilitation (since late december) and should be able to go home by the end of this month - finally...  We arranged ambulance transport for her to get to my brothers for easter dinner.

Well, I am off to the basement for our fit test...  here we go

Have I mentioned that even though I don't know many of you personally, coming here is always great encouragement!  Thank you xoxo

Have a great day everyone!!  My tulips are blooming, the yard is full of happy daffodils and it's going to be a great day

Am I allowed to post here as a pre-op newbie???  If only to remind you guys of how narrow your life can become being MO.  I'm sitting at the computer on a beautiful day - hoping to unpack from a recent trip to VT, doing things around the house and maybe go out at some point - maybe/maybe not/ maybe tomorrow...  And Pam - or anyone who blogs for a newbie...  I'll read it!

Of COURSE you're welcome to post as a newbie!  Welcome to the board.

it's a beautiful day - I know it's tough, but you can get out and take a nice slow walk and enjoy the sunlight and fresh air.  And the more you move PRE-op, the easier your post-op recovery will be.  It's a little under a year ago that I was in your shoes - life is totally different now in so many ways!  But the joy of actually moving is one of the big surprises, and it started by makign the commitment to just find a way to move a little every day.

Ok - end of lecture.  Welcome, again - and let us know more about your plans.  Who's your doc, when is your surgery (or what stage are you in), what surgery are you having, etc...

Hey we were in Vermont a couple of weeks ago! We have 2 sons there - one has a lake house on Lake Champlain. Where did you go?
