**Sunday Roll Call**
Time to catch up! I was in Philly for 4 days last week and spent much of yesterday on a volunteer grounds cleanup crew at the Landis Valley Museum, so here goes the update:
Ate every meal in restaurants for most of 5 days. Scale hasn't budged but I did okay. Yes, I packed my food bag so I DID get enough protein and fluids in!
Ate one meal at a Friday's with nutrition info on the menu. YIKES! I ended up with the one item (lime shrimp skewers) that wasn't LOADED with calories, fat, and sodium. Boy, was that an insight! (Makes me that much more suspicious of Applebees not releasing their info!)
Exercise opps were limited but I did wallk out the Parkway one afternoon and did the Art Museum steps! Not bad - there are only 72, and I was expecting more like 500. Could have gone up 2 or 3 times if time had permitted, but I was on someone else's schedule. I also took a workout DVD with me and did at least one workout in the hotel room.
Today...walking 5 miles this afternoon after church.
There are no groceries in my house that make any sense at all. I stopped off yesterday at Costco and ended up with milk, peanut butter, and a pair of pj's. The tulips on my dining room table have wilted. The week's newspapers are all over the coffee table. A pile of laundry is spilling over onto the bedroom floor.
The dog, however, is delighted that we are both home. She thinks the plastic dryer balls are a fascinating toy.
Mike leaves early Monday for 3 days in DC. He gets home Wed., then I leave on Thurs. for 3 more days of meetings in Philly. No sense buying much grocery wise. More restaurant/hotel meals.
Considering the iPad when the 3G version comes out.
Decided to go to Michigan to see my mom for mother's day weekend. Got a flight on SW out of BWI for a fairly good rate.
Family drama is fairly self contained this week, unlike last week when it spilled over a bit. I got into a little tizzy about my sometimes limited ability to step back from it....
Good to be back with you all!

Good morning, PA!
I have a load of wash in, which is probably the extent of work for me today. (I did vacuum last night to get rid of the sand we've been tracking in.) I think we'll sit on the beach and read for a while today, and probably take a walk. Not sure if we'll take the metal detector today; we only found 28 cents yesterday.
Saw an old friend yesterday, which was fun. Haven't seen him in about 9 years.
Have a wonderful day, everyone!!!

Good Morning Pam & PA:
This morning had Gene up early to start working on dad's taxes. I slept in a bit and am not up to start getting ready for church and get breakfast ready. Also have to start reminding Gene what time it is so I can get him away from the taxes and ready for church.
Nothing planned for today other than church.
Yesterday was nice. Dad behaved after his tantrum on Friday night. He's having a hard time breathing while walking. His body is filling up with fluids, but he said the doc said his lungs are still retively clear. Dad wants to blame the fluid build up on his recent hip replacements and is in denial that the fluid is heart related. He is getting frustrated that in the last 3 years he has deteriorated physically to the point where he just sits in the house and can't do any work on the house. He is used to being very active, traveling all over Philly and misses his independence. He is having a lot of difficulty accepting that his frolicking days are probably over and it coming on so fast has pretty much thrown him for a loop. He'll be 90 next month. Not that this excuses his attack on me Friday night. This is the norm. Like Gene said in my family structure it is my legacy to "take care of your brother". Many years of therapy has freed me from that legacy but no one else in the family has caught up to me yet so they still function under that false legacy.
Being with my daugthers was wonderful. Going to a resturant though does not give the time to talk and catch up, and on the positive side no one had to slave over a stove or clean up the dishes. Took some nice pictures of our group, something is not working with my computer and downloading them so I'm going to have to take my camera to CVS and have a CD made so I can upload some new pictures.
Hope every has a great day - It looks to be a beautiful day!!!

Good Morning Pam and PA,
I have been AWOL for a good reason. Busy. I am also increasing one of my meds, which has me tired, and slower than usual, but feeling saner.
Today has me working on a Special Olympics project, and then heading to my AA meeting in Bensalem. Then, working on my project again. There is a Health and Fitness Fair in Feasterville next weekend, and I am making a presentation board for it.
Hope everyone has a terrific day.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

well good morning. I'm awake after my fun night out with friends.
I went to the casino and lost a bit of money and then headed over to karaoke. That was a lot of fun.
I bought new shoes at Target last night, but I think I'm going to return them. They are sandals with 4 inch heels, which would be ok I think if they weren't wooden. They were NOT comfortable after only a few minutes. So, they are going back. Being cute is NOT worth that pain.
I am going to pick up Siehara from David and Sarah's house. While I am there I am going to try to get David to tune up my bike that has been in his garage for the past year. I really want to start getting on it soon. If he tunes it up, I'll take it for a ride around his neighborhood and see if I can manage to do it without busting my butt.
This afternoon, I will probably just relax and do a few things around the apartment.
Tonight, I have a viewing for a classmate who was 20 weeks pregnant and passed away suddenly on Thursday. So sad.. I'm hoping to find out more details of how she passed. After the viewing, a few of us are going to go out for coffee or something so we can socialize in a more appropriate setting.
That's my day. Hope you have a good one

Hi Everyone - certainly can't say "good morning" at this point!
It's been a busy day so far - very productive. Made split pea/lentil soup with the hambone and leftover ham from last week and it smells wonderful. Also made some cornbread muffins, which look like they turned out well. And yes, I'm goign to have one :-).
Eddie and Becky have been at work all day, so it's been "just me" hanging around and getting stuff done. Did my mom's taxes, got the rest of the floor perimeter sealant done for the kitchen, and have started figuring out the molding. Will start that tonight, i think (depends on how set the sealant is). Looks like it might not be as bad as I was afraid it would be to do.
Got the two travel options priced out for the "senior week" trip that I'm apparently accompanying this summer. The kids asked me to go with them and their friends to Disney for senior week, and i said yes, after much deliberation. Should be fun, I think, as I like their friends and genuinely enjoy hanging out with Becky and Eric. Although it's been a long time since I shared a hotel room with teenagers other than mine - we'll see how THAT part goes. Anyway, one of the moms is being kinda freakish about travel arrangements, so I'm trying to help her see the various options and understand them.
After all that, now I'm tired. Haha.
