Weigh****chers

Question for you....In attempts to support my partner in losing weight I am going to join weigh****chers with her on Monday. I've done it before and I understand the point system and all but I'm wondering if I'll have to or be able to tweek the program if necessary? I'd like to follow the program as close as I can so that we are cooking and eating the same things. For her sake I want it to appear that we are doing the same thing(s). I'll be awarded 22 points for the day. I'll be interested to see what 22 points worth of food looks like.

I'm thinking I won't tell anyone at WW because I read on another board that some of the WW folks get snipey at WLS folks.

Just throwing it out there to see if anyone has tried WW after WLS.

Thanks,
T

Actually if you make good choices it`s a lot of food. The program works great but weekly meetings are the key to success. Even with Weight Loss surgery support groups are the best tool to success.

WW has the best statistics in that industry but they are very low compared to WLS.

I don't know much about the program and points system...I do know that things like the WW ice cream bars that are "only" a few points each do contain a decent amount of real sugar so you'll have to watch things like that - but if you guys are preparing most of your own food at home, I'm sure that won't be to much of an issue.

Congrats to BOTH of you!

The last time I did WW (about 4 hrs ago?) they had different plans you could follow including an 'atkins' type plan where you could eat as much protein as you wanted and only counted carbs. That would probably be the better plan for you to follow if they still have it. Whatever you choose I wish you both the best. One of the keys of WW is logging your food so you should be well prepared for that!
