Hello gang...

One more day....

Still up tonight, trying to update Erin's iPod with stuff to keep her entertained during the plane ride and it is taking forever.  Might just leave the computer on and if it keeps downloading while I sleep.  Lots to do today.  Pick up a pay check and hit the bank, take half the contents of my grandmother's garage to our township clean-up day, wash, packing, go get a belt and I'm sure there is plenty more that I haven't even thought of yet.

Probably won't get on much before I leave tomorrow, so I'll talk to you all in week.  I may actually miss some of you while I'm gone. 

Oh, and anyone planning on hiding in my suitcase, better have their skinny butt here by 5am Saturday...

I hope you have a safe trip, and come back refreshed.  I am jealous.  

Me, Friday?  Well, I am having a rhizotomy (sp?) done first thing in the morning.  That is the procedure where they burn the nerves in my back so my herniated discs don't keep bothering me.  This freaking pain has been going on since September.  My first procedure, where they did the right side, worked great.  They don't do both sides at the same time, because it would be too much for my body at once.  

Tonight, if my leg is better, I hope to get to my AA meeting down the street.  I can walk there, since I won't be allowed to drive due to having had anasthesia.  Problem is, the ankle where the phlebitis is hurts and I have trouble walking long distances.  If it is a problem, I won't get to the meeting, but I really want to go because I believe we are having our business meeting, and I want to chair the meeting in May, if possible.  

I hope everyone has a great day.  I will be resting after my procedure.  Nothing exciting.

Good morning, PA!

I've been awake since about 4:00 or so.  Not sure why.  I can't usually fall asleep again, so I decided to get up, make a cup of tea, and enjoy some quiet time.

Had an awesome experience at Red Robin last night.  I ordered a parmesan burger with no bun, so the server asked if I wanted it lettuce-wrapped.  Sure.  Then the manager came over to say those are hard to wrap and that it wouldn't be pretty to look at.  The 2 men were so accommodating then, offering me a side salad instead of the usual fries, making sure everything was fine.  They just really seemed to go above and beyond.  I thanked both of them, and also went on the corporate website and let them know how well we were treated.

Paul and I are headed to the beach later this morning.  We have our annual condo meeting tomorrow, and we're hoping it goes better than last year.  One of the owners argued every single point---then brought each point up again later.  I'm hoping he doesn't attend this year, but that's doubtful.

WOW!! What an amazing experience at Red Robin.  I will keep that in mind if I ever go there.  I usually just order with bun and not eat it, but always found that wasteful.  I need to learn to open up my mouth.

Good for you for contacting corporate with good stuff. Not enough people are recognized for the good.

If you look at the "fine print" under the burgers at RR, it specifically states you can order any of your burgers in a "lettuce bun" and that it is served with a salad instead of fries.  They are VERY accommodating, and it is reflected on their menu as well.  I really like eating there!

I couldn't agree more that we don't speak up enough when things are good.  These guys were great, and I hope they get some sort of recognition for what they do.  I've had some other good experiences lately.  Spoke to a manager about what good service we got one night.  Next time we went back, that server had become a manager in training.  He sure deserves it!!!

I always order my burgers without the bun now, but not because it's wasteful.  I do it because the cheese often sticks to the bun and gets wasted.  I want my cheese!  lol

I too have ALWAYS found Red Robin to be VERY accomodating!  Glad you had such a great experience!

So glad that you had such a wonderful experience with Red Robin.  I had no idea that they would do a lettuce bun instead of the regular.  May have to make a trip to Red Robin this weekend.

Hi Kris!

This was the Red Robin in Glasgow.   I've had great service at several of their restaurants, but last night just seemed exceptional to us.  Apparently they don't like to do a lettuce bun with the parmesan burger, but it really doesn't need it.  Enjoy it if you go!

To all those traveling this weekend have safe travels.

I'm up and getting ready for work.  I'm exhausted as usual and I've only been up for 20 minutes.  Ready to go back to bed.  Yes, my iron and B-12 is low.  Had my first B-12 shot on Tuesday and taking iron suppliments since receiving notification from surgeons office that my last blood work came back low.

I'm working 7:30 to 4:00, then home to try to stay awake a bit to catch up with Gene.  He sees clients 3 nights a week, tonight is one of his at home nights Yeah!

Hope everyone has a great day.  With a bit of luck I'll be able to get out at lunch to walk unless I'm too tired.
