Nan,
Ouch! What a day!

Are you still considering a move to FL? We keep looking that direction for the future...

I haven't gotten a response from the bank that is holding up the deal on the short sale.  I was considering moving there in 10 or 11 years when I retire, however, I have come to realize that the climate down there isn't the best for my health.  There are a lot of mold issues if you don't air condition your house.  I am not one to use the air conditioner since I am always cold from my anenemia.  Even if I were to bundle up, I'd be trading a heating bill 7 months out of the year up here for an air conditioning bill 11 months out the year down there.  I don't think I want to live someplace where the house can get that kind of damage from not using the air.  I think my condo up here is very affordable to me to stay in after retirement even though the snow up here bites.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

Short sales can take a long time, for sure. And yes, a/c is a "given" in Florida. Even if you don't live there year round you have to leave a dehumidifier on and the a/c set to run every so often.

My cousin who is a contractor down there says that a dehumidifier could never handle the mold issue, it can only make the homeowner more comfortable.  I can't deal with the mold issues for health reasons.

Good Morning

I feel like crap, cold is killing me.

I have to face Algebra yet again.
(for those who don't know, there is NO way for me to pass the class, yet I am still attending)
It's killing me but I have to take it over so I am trying to soak in anything I can to help me next time.

I have an English paper to work on.

That's it.

Not exciting, Very pessimistic today, but hopefully things will change by the weekend.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Morning all - at work and getting ready to start my day. Happy thoughts and prayers going out to everyone struggling with family/personal issues today.

Not much on my agenda today - run to Walmart at lunch for a few things we need. Tonight to Lowe's to exchange some paint I bought and pick up some more - my nephew is getting down to the last few items on my job list - and I'm running out of money!

My daughter made it safely to PA for her grandmother's funeral this week - she's out in the Wellsville area where her adopted parents live. Sadly I won't get to see her this trip and that's hard knowing she's so close. But I did just see her in February and hopefully she'll be back for a couple of weeks again this summer with the girls.

Not much else new for me - hope everyone can get out and enjoy the sun for a few mintues.

Kathy

Can I play here? The main forum is mean. I've been watching here and you guys/girls are friendly and supportive. More what I'm looking for.

So, what's this post for? Letting others know what our day entails?

I have a home daycare, it's nap/free playtime. So, it's diapers, feedings, diapers, rocking, diapers, reading, diapers, naptime, diapers, snacktime, probably more diapers and then pickup time.

Then, dance class for one of my daughters and you've all inspired me to work in a workout dvd I've been putting off. Pilates...I love it, but, dread it at the same time.

Maybe it will speed up my current slump. I suspect once I start I'll be addicted to it like I've been in the past. Maybe even more so since I will actually see results this time that will stay.

Anyway, hope you don't mind me pokin' my nose in here.

Have a great day everyone!

welcome spazzdak.. we are a friendly bunch of people if I do say so myself.

please join us!! This is the roll call post.. just like you said.. letting each other know what's up for the day.. anything on your mind, bothering you, good, bad, ugly.. whatever.

God bless you for running a daycare.  I think I would be ok with just babies, but once they start moving around, walking, etc.. then it gets tough.  I worked in daycare when I was in college, but was mostly in the school age room.. didn't like that.  They talk back.. LOL

Good for you for doing the workout dvd.  Keep it up!
