Yo, what's this?? Me starting the exercise thread??!! Will wonders never cease?

Anyway I did ride my bike last night - I was really busy but damn determined to get on it - I got 30+ minutes in for 6 miles so it's a start. Felt great, too! Also walked the dog but since I do that every day I don't really count it anymore.

So anyway tonight I will shoot for 40 minutes and another mile or two - I was beating myself up because I had gotten up to 15 miles in just under an hour but then fell off track completely - but I realize I had a lot of other things going on and beating myself up verbally about it was not helping - getting back on the bike did.

That's my plan folks - what are you all up to??

Don't beat yourself up, Kathy!  You had a lot going on, and now you're doing what you know you need to do.

I'm going to the basement right now to do my hour on the treadmill.  So glad I got the tv hooked up to cable---makes the time go faster!!!

Thanks Julia - yes, I've had a lot going on this year - actually since December and now life is finally calming down and getting back to normal, so no more excuses - just do it, right?!

My husband promised me he'd work on my treadmill this weekend - it needs a front roller. I figure if he can't fix it then I will contact the manufacturer and have them send someone out - I think they said it was $125.00 for the first hour and I forget what after that but it's still cheaper than buying a new one and this was a good one - now it's at least 15 years old but in great condition, and mine has a TV mounted on it! So hopefully we'll get that up and running and I can start using that as well.

Good Morning Kathy & Fellow Gym Rats!
I did my hour on the Elliptical and I am still so sore for all the garden digging I did on Saturday. I will walk on my lunch and breaks. Have a good day everyone!

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

So I feel like a slacker compared to you ladies! - only did 35 minutes on the treadmill this morning (but I pushed it hard with both incline and speed and also did my upper body routine simultaneously - kept my heart rate in the 125 - 140 range the whole time and broke a nice sweat).  I'm also planning on going to interval fight training tonight after work.

Just got back from a 3 mile run at the park during my lunch break. I'm a sweaty mess and loving it.

went out at lunch time for a mind clearing walk.. walked for 30 minutes then sat by the creek for a bit... felt somewhat better then came back and got work crap shoved at me.

Will be going to gym later for upper body and ab work and maybe more cardio depending on how much aggression/sadness I need to release.
