OT - kvelling! (that wouldbe outpouring of pride!)
kvelling is always better than kvetching ;-).
Seriously - based on what I know of you, you DO go way beyond a "normal" teacher in working to engage and inspire your students. The love and care you show that goes WAY beyond "algebra" helps your students blossom and grow. You may say that great teachers come from great students, but I'd say that it's the other way around - great students (and citizens) come from great teachers (and parents). There have been many of my teachers over the years who I wouldn't walk across the room to see, because they weren't "worth" the effort (because they treated their students like we weren't worth the effort). There are a few who I still think about, honor, and would go WAY out of my way to see. You're one of the latter type of teacher and you should be proud of yourself for that.
