I scream, you scream....
We all scream for ice cream??
Ok..so I found the kitchen aide ice cream maker thingie on sale on my trip to the outlets w/ my BFF the other day, so of course I HAD to pick it up.
I need recipies (I can adapt recipies and figure out how to make other flavors etc...I just need a starting point as I've never done it before)!!! I looked at egg face's website briefly today...but I couldn't find a way to just search for ice cream...and I certainly wasn't going through daily blogs to find them.
Any suggestions? Favorites?
Karen - definately need your chocolate stout ice cream recipie...want to make it for my dad and brother who would probably kill for some.
Thanks!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Pam,
On the side of Eggface's blog are a list of links. There's one for protein ice cream that will take you to a list of the flavors that she's posted. I've been making ice cream again lately, using 2% milk instead of vanilla soy, and I like it sooo much better. I use a cup of milk, 2 scoops of protein (flavor is you choice, based on what flavor ice cream you're making), and whatever else you want to add. I used milk, chocolate protein powder, 1 T of peanut butter, and some chopped up SF peanut butter cups. Or milk, vanilla protein, 1/2 packet of lemon-lime Kool-Aid, 1 T SF vanilla syrup, and chopped up lemon cookies (for 'crust') for key lime pie flavor. I mix the stuff, except for candy/cookies, with a stick blender so it gets frothy, then pour it into the ice cream maker.
I think I may have to make the chocolate stout for Paul too.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Pam,
I make Protein Peanut Butter Ice Cream - YUM
2 cups of Vanilla soy milk or regular milk or condensed milk
4 pumps of Peanut Butter DaVinci SF syrup
1 tablespoon of PB2
2 scoops of Chocolate Max Protein
2-3 SF Stauffer's Peanut Butter Cups (chopped and added in the last 5 minutes)
Blend it in a blender then put in your ice cream maker. I have the Cuisinart -- it takes 25 minutes and very delicious. I've also made it with 1 cup of Half and Half and 1 cup of milk - so you can play around with whatever milk product you like. The Half and Half is high in calories, but if you're only eating a very small amount, it could serve as a treat.
Enjoy!
Debbie
