WOW your numbers look fantastic!! Hope that you're doing well and feeling great.
As for me all is well so far...down 66 pounds...not complaining.
The meeting is open to anyone who is interested in getting wls or who has gone through it with any doctor from any hospital. I believe that it was originally started through Dr.Christou but is open to all.
Hope you can make it...will be nice to see you again!

Thanks for the info. I'm having surgery april 30th, so I'm thinking the may16th is out and June i may be back at work. any dates for July and aug. Thanks in advance

Hi everyone,
Well, I am obviously new here and have just received my letter to go for my First consultation with r. Henri in May. I am not sure how long this is going to take, and if Weight Loss Surgery is in fact the answer. can any one tell me what the first appointment is like? Any one have an idea as to how long WLS takes in Quebec. I have a BMI of 48, depression, and an unknown auto immune issue that has been going on for 5 years.
I really want to know that there is a light at the end of this tunnel. I live in Quebec City, and have been in this province for 2 years now. i gained 50 lbs in the last 2 years just living here, being depressed, not speaking the language. lets just say that my situation is not improving.
Any help, inspiration or words of advice would be great. I have 150 lbs to lose, I am not sure if the VSG is best for me or not.

Just wanted to inform everyone of a wonderful support group that is available to us. Some of you may already know about it and some not.
I went to the meeting last week and it was wonderful to hear other people's stories. The good and the bad. Different surgeons and different surgeries.
The moderator, Jennifer, is wonderful having gone through the surgeries and now with subsequent plastics done.
I will be attending next month so if anyone is interested I've posted the schedule and info numbers.

I'm very desapointed that the quebec Forum is so empty, the last post was April 11th, that too bad.
anyway i had my by-pass on Monday feb 27th and I lost 38 pounds so far or 17 kilos. and I M very glad. See you Around.
