I have not heard of anyone else from Cité but I'm glad I now know one! Don't be shy, we are not very active but we do have a nice number of patients who have gone through with the diff types of surgeries.

Good luck in the coming weeks and for your surgery. You will see it'll be way easier than you think and I'm sure you are just going to recover so quickly! You've been waiting the longest for this so I know you're ready! A little piece of advice for the OptiFast, try blending it with ice and a scoop of instant coffee. It tastes better ;) and it feels like a treat everytime you have it. Oh and don't forget your veggies.

Hi Ada,
Sorry to hear about them postponing but it's just another small bump in the road. December/January will be here in no time and soon enough you'll be on the bench with us. Looking back, the last 6+ months have gone by so fast and this weight has too so by this time next year, we will both be living healthier lives then we ever have!

Hi everyone,
Well I tried calling Martine this week because it's been 4 months already I've had my pre-op testing. I left a message and got a call back yesterday from Danielle. She told me that they foresee "maybe" by december or january for my surgery...maybe, originally I was told by October.
I was told that other surgeries take up the operating room time and our bariatric surgeries get pushed further. I do understand but I'm still not happy about it. I reminded her that Martine told me that the pre-op tests were ok for only up to 4 months and she told me that the only test I may have to re-do is the ECG and that they would do that on the day of the surgery.
So am waiting some more...december will be 2 years I had my consult with Dr.Garneau...
On another note...always happy to hear that everyone is doing well and that eventually I will be sitting with you guys on that bench.

Hi everyone, it`s been a while since I came here but my surgery date is fast approaching.... My date was September 27th but it was changed to October 13th..... I hope they don`t change it again cause I can`t wait any longer!!!! So, I will start my Optifast on September 29th for 2 weeks and then it`s surgery time for me.... I can`t wait to start even if I know it`s gonna be hard......

Yeah, he asked me too, but I haven't done it yet :-( But I used that email to ask about other things before the surgery and it worked.
