i was very honest with my boss regarding the surgery. most large companies will approve loa becz in the end you become less a financial drain on them by becoming healthy.(less sick days, less meds needed etc.) speak with your direct boss, as for telling other people, go with what feels confortable. it took me more than a year to tell some of my family i was having the surgery

Hi everybody!!
I had a great week; I lost 4 pounds, brining me to 200 on the nose. Just 1 pound from Onederland. Leaving in 10 days for the OH event in New Orleans. I'm soooo excited to take a flight and have plenty of room to spare

Topic: Halifax to Mexico anyone interested for week of Sept 12th
There are 3 of us going to see Dr. Ramos Kelly in September, two from the Halifax area and one from PEI. We still have to book flights, but it will be sometime the week of Sept 12. Everyone is welcome, if anyone else from the Maritimes was thinking of going but didn't want to travel alone you're welcome to join us. Or anyone across Canada that wants to meet up down there. It would have been nice to have it all on the same day...not too good missing work...$$
I was told that this follow up appointment is done one month after the sleep apnea test...I don't know...maybe they found something not good so now I'm worrying about that too.

Hi Ada, I had all my pre-op testings done in the same day on June 8th. I had my bloodwork done, sleep apnea test the night before, went to pneumologie to test my lungs and met with the pneumologist all in the same day..... They should have given you all your tests on the same day too. I only had one more appointment on July 27th to meet the internist and I now have my surgery date.... it's September 27th. I hope you get your date soon too. Good luck....
