I just had my surgery and wondering about calories allottment
hi linda..
you really don't need to worry too much about this so soon out of surgery. you can't eat enough right now to make much difference.
the only thing i did was not use full-fat products. everything i eat is either FF or reduced fat.
when you're about 3-4 months out is when you need to start paying attention, i think. at that time i was eating around 500 calories a day, and i was eating most of my protein, supplemented with a half of a shake. then around 6 months, you should be at about 800 calories. then around a year, i think it's about 1000-1200 calories.
so, with that said, if you're only a few days out of surgeyr, i'd imagine your calories intake every day would be like 200-300. but seriously - this doesn't matter so much so long as you stick the schedule your doctor provided.
good luck!
