FILL BY FLORISCOPE

HAS ANY ONE HERE HAD A FILL WITH THE USE OF A FLORISCOPE? IS IT JUST A CO/PAY OFFICE VISIT OR DOES INSURENCE COVEWR IT AS A PROCEDURE????  MSPARIS

Hi, I have never had a fill under floro.  My doctor can't perform this procedure in his office and it would require a visit to the hospital.  This is not covered under my insurance and would require payment to the hospital for the procedure.

i sure hope its covered. i have to have a scope next week to see if my port flipped. if it is i have to have surgery to stitch it securely  msparis

That might be different than just a floro fill and I would hope would be covered also.

Hi, Both my fills were done under fluroscopy at RIH. My health insurance picked up the tab, TG !! Fluroscopy is a "live" x-ray. The Dr. views a video screen as he inserts the fill needle to be sure the port is properly accessed to fill the band.  Apparently, my port  is tilted, so it makes it difficult to access. Patty
