I have a date!

December 10, 2007 at 6:30 am!    I am very excited!  Dr. Pohl asked if I was ok with having surgery right before Christmas, but I have enough time to get my shopping and wrapping done beforehand so why not?  I have waited so long, I'm excited to start my new life. Oh Leslie thats wonderful!!! I've been thinking about you and I'm so glad things are finally going well for you. Dec 10 is my 1st post op follow up so I'll be thinking about you. And if you like, send me your info, I'll come by at the hopital and see how you're doing. (if you're like me, I didnt really want to see anyone on the day of surgery but I was fine the following day. but I cant remember off hand of you're bypass or band..lol)

Thanks everyone!  I have to have the gallbladder removed at the same time as the bypass.  I guess it will add about 20 minutes to the surgery. Angela,  I would love to have you come by!  How wonderful.  The whole thing is kind of surreal right now.  Didn't you all feel like that too?

It was very surreal. I was just so excited to be getting it done. I also had my gall bladder taken out, so my surgery was exactly like yours will be. I was in surgery about 2 1/2 hours I think and then recovery for a few more hours. Dr Pohl will come and visit you every morning between 6:30-7:30 to see how you're doing and check in.  You'll do great! Theres plenty of room here next to me on the losers bench, cant wait until you can join us.

Well slide over my friends, I'm headed for the bench! Dr. Pohl can't let me sleep in a bit?   yikes Now I'm trying to figure out how my husband is going to handle having such a hot wife Leslie
