Pre-Op at Roger Williams 11/30
The 8 year old, Phoebe, is pretty worried. She can't figure out how she will sleep if I am not home overnight. I tried to remind her that I was gone for the sleep test for 2 times, but this is different, she knows it and so do I.
I expect Julia, 6, will have a meltdown when she's home with Daddy and he's feeling anxious. She can feel that in people and gets anxious herself.
Otherwise, this will be fine. I had them both C-section so I know about abdominal surgery, only this is higher up. I'm excited!
How is your liquid diet going?
Leslie You have to check out my profile blog. It helps to write down what I am feeling. The one meal is killing me. I do fine all day long until supper time. It's been a struggle but it seems to get easier everyday.
I put together a "Have Fun" basket for my kids. It has the new Spiderman Video, Super Mario brothers game for the Wii, popcorn, pizza gift card and a few goodies for everyone. I will leave before they do for school. I have to at the hospital at 6am. I will leave them breakfast on the table and a snack of their favorite cookies for when they get home from school. I figure if I leave presents through out the house, they'll be so busy trying to find them all to worry about me. Your girls will be fine. Maybe you can give Phoebe your pillow to sleep on for the night, sometimes just having a familiar scent can relax a person. Daddy will come up with a game plan to keep them busy. You think about you and focus on your health and recovery, everything else will fall into place.
