Could Psych and/or Nutrition eval deny me?

Hi , I am new here and hoping to get Lap Band surgery.  Dr. Ryder is my surgeon.  I have had almost all of the testing .  I still need a nutrition eval and psych eval (feb). Are these pass/fail.? Could I be denied  for surgery if i "fail"?  Also, do they put you to sleep for the upper GI?

My name is Robin and Dr. Ryder is also my doctor.   There is a possibilty of not passing the Pych eval (I don't think this is true of the nut eval).  If you don't pass the pysch eval the Dr. will have you attend group therapy.

You must get an ok clearance from the psych appointment. I honestly think you must pass all tests, including the nutritionists. The nutritionists app. is more of an informative appointment. However...I think what you say or do may have an impact in the outcome.  You do not go to sleep for the upper GI.

upper GI was one of the easier tests- just drank these 2 things, then go on an xray table that they move a bit on you to watch the fluid go down
