Lap Band scheduled 3/5 with Dr. Roye

Hello Joyce.    I would love to tell you a little about Dr. Roye and his Nurse Practitioner. Kathleen has been his NP for a bit over a year and I swear I don't know what I would have done without her. I started my initial phone call of last April and she has been there through thick and thin with me, always there when I needed her, even on her off duty time. She is an Angel. I know it seems rather strange to see her and maybe never to have met with Dr. Roye or if you have, it may have been for a couple of minutes. Dr. Roye has to be the most personable, dedicated Surgeon, and I knew I had the best from the beginiing. You have made no mistakes in your choosing and you will be thankful you have him. He comes to our support meetings now and again and he's very informative at them. I wish you the best on your surgery March 5th and hope to meet you on April 2nd at the Weight Loss Success Strider's meeting. ~Dawn~

Hi Dawn, Thank you for your input.  I did find it rather strange but everyone has been telling me how very happy they are with him.  He was first recommended to me by a staff member at Rhode Island Hospital . I am beginning to feel more comfortable with my decision. However lap band vs rny is still an occaisonal question I ask myself only because   I had always wanted lap band but the NP suggested RNY although the Dr. did say I am a good candidate for lap band . Good Luck to you with your recent surgery .  I hope you are on the mend and now pain free.
