I just received the book in the mail today! I'm so excited about it! What chapter(s) are your favorite(s)? What should I really pay attention to?

I have yet to read it all the way through yet (though have had it for months now).  I read all the first chapters, up until post op.  I read a bit of post op, but stopped at recipes and such.  It is a great guide to understanding procedures, tests, etc.  It gives good insight of what you are in for.  Keep it around, and you will refer to it.   Hopefully I will be reading those recipe sections soon!!! (as in- using the recipes!!!)

Thanks Alexia! I'm sure I'll read it several times and get something new out of it each time. Hey, it'll be a good read while you're in the hospital! Jule

Hi Julie,

I read the book and what I really tried to focus on was the post-op eating.   I think that will be one of my greatest challenges so I wanted a heads up.  I refer to book often.

Thanks Robin! There seems to be so much to learn about the post-op eating! I'm still seeking other books that will help me with that. After all, if I could eat right all the time, I wouldn't be in the space I'm in (you know, that mighty BIG space). I'm looking forward to the support group at RW tomorrow night. Later! Jules
