I got a quick approval from my insurance but can't seem to get a date from my surgeon's office. I have taken the fall off school so that I could have this surgery and I have done everything possible to move this process along quickly. I am really thinking about going to another surgeon so I can get this done as soon as possible. If this goes into next year that means new deductible and I can't let that happenAny advice.

In the grand scheme of things a couple of weeks won't make any difference. But, you should probably let your surgeon know that you're running against the clock with your deductible and that you're looking around for someone who can do it sooner. Who knows, that might move things along. Best wishes!

I'd definitely call your surgeon's office and advise them of the time crunch and the deductible issue. As you've already been approved, it shouldn't be too hard to get you scheduled. Good luck! Cy

I should be asleep too, so I understand about not being able to sleep.  I don't know if my husband forgot his cell phone in his car or if he is dead on the side of the road somewhere.  I'm sure he's fine, but you know how things can eat at you.  Well I think the same thing is true with you.  Try to do some deep breaths and believe that it is going to work out.  YOu won't be able to tackle the day tomorrow if you don't have enough sleep.  Take care of yourself.   I hope everything works out for you and that you get a date from your surgeon!

Keep in mind if you go to a new surgeon you will have to get a new approval. Even thou the insurance approved you quickly the first time, who is to say what will happen the second ya know? Has your surgeon confirmed they received your approval letter? Did somebody say they were going to call you back and havent? Did you leave messages and they wernt returned? Whomever does the scheduling - call and leave a message... if after 48 hours you dont hear back call and ask for the office manager and let her know your situtation.

Call your surgeon's office twice a day. No, seriously. They'll hate you, but you'll be scheduled :-)
