Today I'm home from work, getting in my special meds, doing last minute organizing. Thought I'd stop for a break and log in, and this was the first thing I saw. Thank you so much.
I'll have my droid (though I'm currently panicking because I don't know where my charger is!...wonder if Walmart has a charger I can buy for it?!).... so I imagine that I'll post an update on facebook first anyone who is friends with me there can pass on the good news here.
Just found out that the hospital (which has only 64 beds) also has ONLY private rooms. Yay! That REALLY made me relax. I HATED having to share a room when I had my RNY as I wondered what kind of cooties I might be getting from teh toilet seat!
Right now I'm having my last major meal..... homemade WLS-friendly lasagna with ground turkey and egg-roll noodles. After this I will only have protein shakes and one small meal at around 5 pm so my meds will go down with least difficulty (but they're not goign down very well now - even with food.)
I'm home from work, as I mentioned... it was strange walking out of my classroom and knowing that I won't see it probably until April;.
The surgery is at noon Mountain Time, and I don't know how long it will take. I've read other stories, and anything from a super short surgery of 20 minutes to 4 hours all seemed "normal" so I'll go with 4 hours, and thus would expect that I'll make a garbled up FB post between six and 8 pm mountain time. If you want to friend me feel free, I'm just Lady Lithia on Facebook too.
Gotta love when you have your last meal, and it's super-yummy, and yet you're taking it to make meds go down, so all you get is an ucky tummy.
I'll be on more throughout the day as I pause now and again to take a breather in the midst of all of my little last-minute errands I am trying to get done.

I got your friend request. I have a lot of friends who post political stuff. Just gotta know.... (whispering).... I'm one of those TEACHERS ..... y'know.... public enemy #1 and all.....and have been known to unfriend people who have it out for us teachers. *grin*
