Recommendations for a small blender?

I'm looking for something small and single-serve for things like protein shakes, soups, purees, yogurt, hummus, etc.

My regular blender comes apart in 4 pieces to clean and gets to be a bit of a hassle to do every day.

I've heard mixed reviews about the Magic Bullet.

What do you use and why do/don't you recommend it?

I have the ninja 1100 system...it comes with a big pitcher and a smaller one, which is the one I utilize for myself...It mixes thing up so well...I love to put frozen fruit in my protein shakes cause my nut said to at least get one serving of friut...Some of the cheaper smaller blenders just didn't cut it for me so I made the investment...comes with various attachments...It doesn't take long to clean...but idk about the magic bullet sorry..

I use the GNC Juicer/blender, its kind of like a magic bullet, small in size comes with 2 resuable cups that have both flip top lids, and straw hole lids (helps not to smell the protien)  Also come with a mini blender attachment as well as 2 juicer attachements.  You can blend your shake right in your resuable cup and then pop the lid on its great.

I have a Cuisinart SmartPower Blender (model CPB-300) and I LOVE it!! It is the perfect size for single size smoothies, soups, etc. I traveled two weeks after surgery and was able to take the blender with me in my suitcase...not too big or too heavy. It is easy to clean for every day use. It comes with two different blades...one for chopping and one for blending. Plus it comes with travel cups that let you blend right in them, pop on a lid and go! It was a little pricey but well worth it!!!

I have not used a Magic Bullet or any other smaller type blender so I can only comment on the Cuisinart. But I picked this one after reading many, many reviews on various options. This one had the best overall review, including durability over time.

Hope this helps. Good luck

I too just bought the NInja off of QVC.  It is awesome.   You can use the larger pitcher to both blend and store your shakes in the fridge.   Very easy to use and clean.

I bought the magic bullet and am loving it.  I am still pre-op and have been using it for my 2 weeks of optifast.  I am very happy with it.  I love that it is single serving, can drink from the cup it's made in(less clean-up and fuss) and all parts (except motor) are dishwasher safe.  The price was also reasonable.
