Hurt neck. What can I take?

This is my first bad muscle spasm episode since bypass. I must have slept wrong because I woke up with my neck out and upper back and shoulder on the right hurting when I move.

Frustrated that I can't take ibprofin like in the past. Am I able to take flexeril or pain meds? Thanks.

Yes, you can take muscle relaxers. As far as pain relief, your only choices are Tylenol or prescription meds that don't contain NSAIDs.

When things like that happen to me - I take Tylenol, and see chiropractor.
