Post RNY, Jowls?

I've noticed that as I lose weight, my very round face (my highest weight was 373) is starting to sag, kind of giving me jowls. I realize there's not too much I can do about it, but I'm still p.o'd. 

Just tell me I'm not the only one.....

I had to google this term-- I've never heard it before. Didn't realize there was a term for this. One of the unfortunate effects of weight and aging I suppose. 

I don't have this- but have issues in other areas.

My friend, Carol, lost a lot of weight when she was fifty.  She was very unhappy with her new jowls.  She had a mini face lift.  She is 70 now, still slim and her face still looks firms and she looks much younger than her age.

Yeap.  Gravity. That why I decided to get a face lift... 

late 50s here - and yes,  I have jowls now.  One of my neighbors asked if I was going to get a facelift (nice, right??)

I am only a month out and already have jowls.  Seems most of my 40 pound loss was in my neck ;).  No matter.  I would rather be thin and old looking.

Like Hollykim, it was funny reading peachpie had to google jowl.  But you reporting a 40 pound loss in the neck made me smile again.  I, too, was like a melting snowman starting at the face and stopping short from the hip down.  As usual, today there is a west wind here in Minnesota--am I hearing the echoing sound of joy from you done with Lovenox shots?  

OMG YES!!!!! I finished Thursday and EVERY morning I wake up grateful that I no longer have to subject myself to that particular hell. The last few days of them I debated every shot whether I could just throw it in the jar unused... but I took every single one. And, I was rewarded with that 40-pound neck loss.

Haha! Mine has been in my belly. I swear I can already see a "front butt" forming...
