Hi Peach & co!
I'm totally enjoying my last day off, already. Last night I started another batch of Greek yogurt in the instant pot and left it overnight. This morning it s perfect! Yay! And yesterday I also made my first batch of Crack Chicken. OMG. I'm eating it cold for breakfast right now. That's how yummy it is :)
Yesterday I also went to the gym for the first time in ages. I planned to do day one of Jeff Galloways run/walk program, but I got started and realized that I was still in okay enough shape to push through and I ended up running 1.5 miles, albeit very slowly... It felt good! Today I am definitely a bit sore, though. My calves are really feeling it. But not so bad that I can't get back there today. I plan to head over, soon :)
QOTD: The biggest one that sticks out is how I am perceived. I don't know exactly how I know this, but I know that I am treated with more general respect than I was MO. There were times at my heaviest that I felt people look at me with a combination of disgust and pity. And no one ever assumed I was smart until they got to know me. It's hard to quantify the way another person sees you as fact, but I know it's true.
B: coffee; crack chicken
S: homemade Greek yogurt, chia seeds, granola and fresh fruit
L: leftover steak
S: pretzels and nut butter
D: either more steak or more crack chicken!
Chicken Crack... we all have Elizabeth to thank for that one, I think!!! LOVE that stuff, and I think I still have some in my surprise freezer food ![]()
Ugh, you are so right about being perceived... I'm sure part of it is my attitude, but my position here at work is evolving at a rapid pace, more people talking to me, more encouragement when I do things around here, etc... completely different outlook on this position... It's a bit of a downside though with my real estate... I think the creepers didn't creep as much when I was SMO... I was a boring Agent at an open house... now the creepers hang around, and I get nervous more... I keep my pepper spray on hand at all times...

QOTD: there are so many things I can do now that I couldn't do before, but I'm trying to think of one that I wasn't aware was weight-related. Maybe headaches? I used to have headaches all the time. Now I only have them occasionally, and they're never very bad - Tylenol will usually knock them out. My PCP now thinks they may have been related to sleep apnea (my sleep study revealed a mild case- mild enough that the sleep people said a CPAP machine was up to me, and my surgeon's office said I might not need since it'd probably be gone after I lost the first 20 or 30 lbs). Anyway, that does make sense, since nothing else has changed...
