My bloodwork came back and my vitamin d level is a little low, 26.9 . Will this post pone surgery? Any advice is helpful

You will need to ask your surgical team. They may want you to get the level up prior to surgery. Wellesse makes a bioavailable liquid D3---sometimes you can find it at Wal-Mart or you can order it from Walgreens online. Your body would probably soak that up. Vitamin D is usually quick and easy to raise (barring any absorption issues). A few years ago, my D was so low it did not register on the blood work. I got it up in a week by doubling up on supplements. That cleared up many health issues I was having!! Find a bioavailable (easily absorbable) D3 supplement and double up on it. Good luck.

I just bought dry d3 from walmart today. My doctor never called and mentioned my labwork. I looked up my results online.

Do you have an appointment soon to discuss lab results? You could also just call the clinic and ask.

No. I met with the doctor before who ordered blood work. All she said was if my levels were low she would call and out me on some vitamin d pills.
