Helloooooooo everyone! What's happening? Wel,l in positive news, I can honestly say I am never ever bored at work, lol. The last week has been downright nutty! I would love a quiet day today but I don't think it's in the cards.

We are heading into our 4th day straight with temps in the mid 90s and allll the humidity! Today we have a real feel of 101!!!! This is very unusual for our area, especially this early in the season, and since most schools do not have AC, many are canceling school today.

QOTD: Summer is here! What is your most nostalgic childhood memory about summer? I was a camp-kid! I went up to overnight summer camp in ME for my whole life and it was the best. I couldn't have been happier to have had that experience. I made great life-long friends, learned so many new things, learned to be independent, and it was incredible to live in nature like that. I wish there was adult camp!

Food was okay yesterday... it's hard for me to judge what is "good" or "bad" after a week with strict rules, because when the rules change, I start to think of myself as failing from the week before. But in truth it was okay. I didn't stick to my menu after breakfast--too stressed, too busy, and too hot to eat all day... then I collapsed into some cheese in the afternoon. Ended the day at just over 800 calories and 26 carbs. I feel like today is going to be the same, but here is an aspirational menu just in case I can get it together :)

hi all

QOTD: summer camp was church camp for me and only for 1 week. I had to sell stuff like Vidalia onions, pizza, gift wrap etc to raise money to go. generally family didn't have extra funds for this for me and my two other sisters so I started 'hustling' early in life.

food sunday was not good, yesterday was good. Made this fish miso in the IP and now have 4-5 extra servings. fish for days so I will be plugging that into the menu over the next 2 days so it doesn't spoil. weight around normal not the lowest, off by about 2-3 pounds. probably sundays Chinese Spanish exploration into my pie hole.

today is work and something secret I'm not speaking of yet. we will see...

I am very intrigued with this secret! You mentioned it before too. When can you reveal it? Will you reveal it? Curious minds (better known as nosy ones) want to know.

Happy Tuesday! JB, if it's so hot they are cancelling school, probably a good day to not do any yard work and stay inside in the cool!

QOTD - I used to spend most of the summer with my grandparents. It was great, very different than being at home and a nice break.

Today I have people coming to remove the pigeon that has created a next under my solar panels, sanitize the whole area and put up metal panels so no more pigeons can build nexts. I am not a fan of pigeons.

menu today

coffee + half and half X3

scrambled egg with cheese

Skyr

buffalo sausage

popcorn

I may take an exercise rest day or I may just do something low key, not sure yet. I usually do two classes on Tuesday but had to cancel them because I don' know how long the solar panel guarding will take.

have a great day everyone!

My daughter (age 15) tells me that pigeons are very smart (as smart as a dog). Pigeons can recognize all 26 letters of the alphabet and conceptualize. They were used in WWII to transport military messages. Pigeon racing is still a sport (a distance as long as 1000 miles with speeds up to 60 MPH) and a racing pigeon sold for 1.9 million in the last year. And if you are interested there is a pigeon museum in Oklahoma City. I learned a lot about pigeons from my daughter and now have a better appreciation for the "flying rat".
