Finally Friday's Menu
Happy Friday gang. Those are some of the pepper plants I put outside to harden off. I have some more veggie plants that will be going out there this weekend. I also planted some yellow beans and will get the potatoes in tonight.
I was able to take the CPR class yesterday. It's always good to get a refresher on CPR/First Aid you just never know when you might need to help someone. Even though I sold half of my chickens earlier this year I still get 17 eggs a day and right now I have an abundance of extra eggs, so I brought a few dozen in to make some quiche for the guys. I know they will really appreciate them.
QOTD: Do you ever look for food deals at the grocery store like stuff you can purchase in bulk to freeze for later? If I come across some good fresh seafood deals like fish I usually buy 5lbs or more of it to have on hand. I do the same with lamb and turkey when they are on sale around the holidays. We like to have a variety of proteins in the freezer and while I could grow turkeys they are a lot more messier than chickens and have some disease problems when around chickens. Same with sheep they require certain feed and some stuff can kill them like to much copper.
B: coffee and squash and eggs
L: clam chowder and crab bites from a local seafood shack
D: spinach and cheese stuffed cod
30 minutes on the treadmill
Have a wonderful day and weekend everyone!!!
Happy Friday, all!
Made it to Florida about 12:30 last night. I thought I would sleep like a rock, but I didn't. Or at least not until about 6:00 this morning. I didn't sleep an hour on the plane.
Today is a lot of unpacking and hopefully getting my gym stuff set up. I'm sure that there will be a Home Depot trip in there somewhere, as well.
I am not on vacation today, so there are also calls and things to look at as well. Hopefully get a lot done today and play on Saturday and Sunday. Monday, I fly home at 6:30 and go straight into work.
QOTD: more with fish that we have caught than other proteins. A lot of Paleo bloggers will say that having emergency protein on hand is the key to eating healthy.
Breakfast: Bagel
Lunch: sandwich
Dinner: Hopefully some sort of seafood!
Have a great day, all!

I used to stock up when I found a good deal. I know the vacuum sealer really kept things in good shape. Always made my own sauces and froze them. Also had fruit for pies and frozen peppers and lots of meats.
My sister got new chickens about a month ago. This week one was missing. She thought a raccoon but could not see anywhere it could get in. Next morning another one was gone. She looked and finally found them under a new feeder. They are all fine now so that was a relief.
